Christmas Felt Ornament

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. I have started stitching some felt ornaments. I plan to do a few each year to fill a basket which I bought last year. I made a few felt ornaments last year and enjoyed making them so much! This is my latest which is a Memory Box plush die. It didn't take long to stitch and this die is a good one in using up small pieces of felt.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Bloom ~ Cross Stitch

Hello friends! I hope that you are well. I am sharing a cross stitch piece that I finished a little while ago, but I am displaying because it is spring in Australia. It is my favourite time of year and tulips are my favourite flower. I love this pattern from Stitching with the Housewives, and I really enjoyed creating this project.

For a very long time, I have been searching for house frames and purchase anything that closely resembles one that could be used for a cross stitch finish. I bought this frame from the Reject Shop last year.

To alter it, I applied a few coats of white chalk paint until all of the print from the original design had been covered. I used Folk Art paint which I purchased from Office Works.

Off course the fun part, the stitching happened. I followed the pattern using the DMC threads. I left out the chickens and the snow??

I don't use sticky board as it is too expensive in Australia. I back my fabric with chipboard and the back of my cross stitch with scrap wadding from quilting. The fabrics are from my stash, the button is made using the dritz button kit.

Christmas Village Card

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend. Today I am sharing my first Christmas card of the year. These are my favourite type of card to make. I purchased the Card Stacks Dies from Concord and 9th last year, but haven't had a chance to use them yet..and now I am so glad that I have.

I used dies from the Honey Bee Winter Village to decorate. I decided to limit the colours in the village to make my life easier. I used a stencil to create the snow with ink, next time I should use a different medium as I wasn't happy with how it turned out...never mind. I used Glitter cards stock to create snow peaks and liquid glue to adhere everything.

Supplies:

Dies:
Concord and 9th Card stacks bases, Die-namics fishtail flags stax, Tim Holtz Vault Christmas Magic, Honey Bee Stamps Winter Village, Uniquely Creative Christmas Sentiments and Dies

Cardstock:
Kaisercraft: Steel CD 105, Lemonade CD314, Frost CD350, Ruby CD325, Glittercard GC104 Crystal, Forest CD 114 Kraft CD65101, Licorice CD102, Coconut CD101

Moda Love Quilt ~ Nantucket Summer

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing a quilt that I made using charm squares. The fabric is Nantucket Summer by Camille Roskelley, which I absolutely love. I spent ages looking for a pattern as this fabric sold out so quickly and I didn't want to waste it as it is hard to find!

I used the Moda Love Charm pattern, which is free on the Moda site.

Once I had finished my quilt, I used a diagonal grid pattern as my final quilting pattern

I found a coordinating navy fabric from Spotlight which matched the collection. I machine stitched the front and handstitched the back of the binding into position.

I didn't have any yardage from this collection, so I cut up an old duvet cover that I no longer used and used it as my backing fabric. I am so happy happy I kept it for this reason!

Sentro Knitting Projects

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. I am sharing a post, which will show some projects that I made over a period of time. I have been stock piling these for when I was ready to donate. School is currently supporting the winter appeal and are collecting donations which include beanies, scarves etc for the homeless.

I made quite a few using  my Sentro knitting machines. I also played around end experimented with different yarns, used up scraps and made a combination of scarves, fingerless gloves, and beanies.

I will share more over the next few days. It feels great that I can contribute to those who are not so fortunate.

Stay safe and thanks for stopping by!

Cross Stitch Pillows

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. I am back at school and this year I am trying to balance work with some more craft. I am working on managing to fit smaller projects, however I have just finished a blanket which I will share in my next post.

I have been collecting some of the Lori Holt stitch cards and I have just finished stitching two from Set O. I am not stitching in any particular order, just picking designs that are appealing to me. I like to add some lacey trim on the back to cover the stitching when you whip stitch to close. I am also using Aleenes glue now and not hot glue which works just fine!

I hope you have a great week crafting!

Take care and thanks for stopping by!
