Something Vintage and Something Shabby

Hello everyone! I hope that everyone is well today. As my title suggests, I have something vintage and some shabby to share with you. I am using two collections, both designed by Kerry-Jean Watson. The above layout 'Laugh' uses papers from The Gentlemen Collection which you can purchase from Meg's Garden. I created a masculine themed layout using this collection and yes, I do incorporate flowers into them!

The photo is of my brother when he was little and I just love it! I added some extra stamping, some script stamps and splatter stamps once I had worked out the position off my elements. I fussy cut some of the ephemera elements and also die cut some banners. I inked the edges of these using dark brown ink to add definition to them. I also tucked in some trinkets, hemp and some Dusty Attic cogs which I also coloured in using chalk ink.

Hint: I keep left over cardboard packaging. I cut off small strips and glue it to the back of my photos so that I can tuck in embellishments. Using foam tape didn't give me as much height to add last minute fibres or embellishments.

I also fussy cut this element from one of the papers and die cut the banner. I used a chalk ink to colour in this chipboard title. I also used foam tape to add dimension.

"Love"

My second project is a shabby chic card. I am using one of the papers from The Correspondence Collection mini pack. All of the papers have a neutral background, which make them perfect to personalise for any special occassion.

I love using die cuts in my cards. I created on open heart and added clusters of flowers. I also used some lace to compliment the lace featured in the paper. I added some flat back pearls which I had in my stash for some bling. I stamped my sentiment onto a tag and attached it using some foam tape again for some dimension.
