The Last of My Hearts

Hello everyone! I hope that you are safe and well. Sending you all a virtual hug during these unsettling times. I have packed away my felt supplies as I have completed what I can contribute to my school's 1000 heart project, which is part of the #SantaStrong initiative.

Here are some close ups of some of the designs...

I really enjoyed creating these hearts and hope that as a school we have reached the target of making 1000 hearts.

Take good care,

Felt Heart Tutorial

Hello everyone! I hope that you are safe and well. Today I am sharing a quick post with you. I have created a tutorial demonstrating how to create this felt heart. I created a similar one last week, with the beaded edge and I thought that I would share this technique with you.

Enjoy!

1000 Hearts Project ~ More Hearts

Hello everyone. I hope that you are safe and well. Finally, I am on school holidays. I have some deadlines to fulfill with school during the break however I am grateful to be able to have time on my side to do so. My school is still working toward reaching the target of 1000 with our hearts so I am making some more.
My first two are a similar take on previous pink hearts that I created. I had left over felt die cuts that I had so I used them to make the floral clusters which you can see.
These hearts are my favourite. I learnt how to create a beaded edge and it was so much fun. I went and bought more beads today and I plan to film a tutorial later in the week. Stay tuned!
Love the contrast with the grey. I had the chance to add some pretty butterflies into these hearts.

As always, stay safe and well.

Some More Hearts

Hello everyone. I hope that you are safe and well. Today I am sharing some more hearts which I have made for the 1000 hearts project. I was not planning on making any more but as I am 'under the pump' at the moment with remote learning and the constant changes to what is needed at school, I needed something to balance all the crazy. It is amazing, but this week I felt an extreme case of 'teacher tired' all the time.

My first group of hearts featured rainbows. These were inspired by the images from the UK which were to share messages of hope. The above hearts were pinterest inspired...inspired to make me feel happy!

My last two hearts were to challenge my colour selection. Yellow is not a colour I use often and I thought I would use some yellow just to be different in my designs.

It is important to try and look after our well-being. I have to model it for my students yet am I am not very good at executing it myself. These hearts were a great way to have that brain break and keep my mind and hands occupied in a way that was relaxing.

Take good care
