For You

Hi everyone. This weekend I have been on a roll. I have managed to complete three craft projects! My latest project which I am going to share is the WMSC #86. This card was trial and error with a surprise along the way!

I decided that I would use a cameo as the main focal image and layer it with a Spellbinders die.

When I die cut two potential dies and placed them against the background paper, they faded away into the background.
I added a paper doily and that dramatically changed the look of the cameo. I road tested both Spellbinders dies with the doily and it just didn't seem to look right. I then layered them together and presto! Perfect!

I finished the card with a bow and a tag.

Supplies:

Paper: Kaisercraft Chapter One 6 ½” paper pad, black cardstock

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Cameo to Go

Ink: Stampin’ Up basic black

Other: Spellbinders Shapeabilities Fancy Tags two and fancy Tags Three, Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic ovlas large, Hooked on Craft trinket pin, pearl brad, Fiskars 1.5” tage punch, ribbon, Bow easy, paper doily.

Phi Phi Island

This layout if following the Once Upon a Sketch February challenge. The criteria is vacation/holiday.

For this layout I had some holiday photos in mind, but eventually it was my selection of paper that determined my photo. I had been to Thailand and Singapore in January this year. One of the day trips was to Phi Phi island. We travelled by speed boat, saw spectacular places and swam in beautiful locations. I decided that this would be the focus of my layout.

I incorporated a circular chipboard element, painted it white and embellished with some flowers.

I used an acetate embellishment, rhinestone flourish and some more flowers to finish the layout.
What a joy to scrapbook this day!

Supplies:

Paper: Websters digi papers Paris Collection, DCWV brights, Prima Romantique Collection 8” x 8” paper stack

Other: 2 Crafty chipboard, Green Tara flowers, Manorhouse Creations cottage garden picket fence flowers, Prima Flowers pearl penache ice castle, Spellbinders Shapeabilities spiral blossom one, Martha Stewart punch around the page cherish, Kaisercraft acetate shapes 13th hour, Kaisercraft pealrs, paper doily, American Thickers sunrise, Kaisercraft rhinestone flourish champagne.

Sweet Nothings

This is a layout I have completed following the Kaisercraft Saturday sketch #2.

I used the square die cut paper as the main background. I selected the lamp post wooden flourish and painted it white. Using two strips of adhesive pearls, I wrapped them around the lamp post. I attached some butterflies, mini blooms and the blue birds from the adhesive sheet.

To complete the corner embellishment cluster, I used die cut elements from the paper pad.

The simple journaling just finishes the layout.

Supplies:

Paper: Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings collection, 6 ½” paper pad and rub ons

Other: Kaisercraft wooden flourish twin lamp post, Kaisercraft mini paper blooms coconut, fairy floss and iceberg, Kaisercraft paper blooms sea breeze, Kaisercraft pearls, Martha Stewart paper doily, American Thickers subway alpha stickers.

A Touch of Lace

Hi everyone. It’s WMSC 85 time. For this card I have used lace.

I just love the Victorian Frippery stamp set. I stamped the border using versamark then embossed it with white embossing powder. It compliments the lace already featured in the background paper.

Next I stamped the circular motif again with versamark. This time I embossed it using clear embossing powder. I then selected certainly celery and sponged the background. For the next layer, I stamped the square motif using certainly celery. I die cut each using Spellbinders dies, then applied foam tape to add dimension. To complete this focal image I attached a pearl brad.

Supplies:

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Victorian Frippery

Ink: Versamark, Stampin” Up Certainly Celery

Paper: Prima Romantique 8”x8: paper pad, DCWV bright collection, Stampin’ Up whisper white

Other: Spellbinders Nestabilities standard circles small, standard circles large and lacey circles, Stampin' Up white and clear embossing powder, pearl brad and Vivaldi lace flowers.

Hi everyone. I just love the new Kaisercraft Collection These Days. I just adore vintage feel papers and this collection achieves this. I wanted to try to incorporate stripes into this layout as well as it tends to be something I avoid!

Here I incorporated die cut elements with some paper flowers. This too was something I wanted to try.

I applied crackle paint, then lighted applied some distress ink to created an aged look.
