To Cheer You

Hi everyone. I am sharing a card that I have made for a special little girl who is unwell at the moment. I followed the JustRite Friday Challenge #071 perfect pastels to complete the card.

To begin my card, I went through my papers and I found a Webster's pages paper that contained some pinks and yellows. I used a sentiment stamp from JustRite and then I began building my layers from there.
I stamped and inked my sentiment. I die cut two Spellbinders dies, layered using foam tape and then placed all on a paper doily.

I have found it difficult to find trinket pins, so I made my own!

Supplies:

Stamps: JustRite Hugs to You

Ink: Versafine Vintage Sepia and Distress Ink Old Paper

Paper: Webster's Pages Western Romance

Other: Spellbinders Nestabilities classic ovals large and lacey ovales, Spellbinders Shapeabilities pendants Fleur de Lis, Prima flowers, peach ribbon, lace, Bow easy, trinket pin, paper doily.

Thanking You

Hi everyone. I am sharing with you my latest card that I have made following the WMSC94.

Planning this card went through many adaptations and changes. Initially I was going to go with pink as a main colour. After going through my papers, I discovered this paper from many years ago. Purple is a colour I haven't tackled yet, and I thought I would have a go!

I used a wide ribbon, and added a floral lace trim down the centre. I die cut some frames, stamped and inked my sentiment. To finish it off, I added some flowers and a lace bow, to add the shabby chic touch!

Supplies:
Paper: Webster's pages Purple Majesty, DCWV bright stack
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps Ocal Classic Frame and Cameo to Go
Ink: Stampin' Up Perfect Plum, Distress Ink Old paper

Other: Spellbinders Nestabilities classic ovals large and lacey ovales, Spellbinders Shapeabilities fancy Tags, Prima flowers, Hooked on Craft flowers, Bow easy, lace, creme ribbon.

Let Friendship Bloom

Hello! I am sharing with you another card that I have created for the Shabby Tea Room Beautiful Roses challenge. The inspiration is to create a project using pink, aqua, white, neutrals and flowers along with the inspiration image.

I die cut a flourish with aqua cardstock and then added some paper roses. I repeated this in the opposite corner as shown below.

I layered my centre elements using foam tape to add dimension. It also gave me room to let the flourish drape nicely over the layers.

Supplies:
Stamps: JustRite Fancy Labels and Friendship Bloom
Paper: Grace Taylor Vintage Collection, DCWV pastel stack
Ink: Versafine Vintage Sepia, Stampin' Up Baja Breeze

Other: Spellbinders Nestabilities standard circles large, labels eighteen and picot edge circles, Die-namics fancy flourish, Prima flowers, Hooked on Craft flowers, paper doily.

Friends and Flowers

Hi everyone. Today has been a dull rainy day. Thankfully the beautiful roses challenge has brightened my day.

The 'Beautiful Roses' challenge for the Shabby Tea room is to create a project using the colours aqua, pink, neutrals and flowers. It also asks you to use the above image for inspiration.

I started my card by creating the rose image. I stamped the rose using versa mark and embossed it. I then sprayed water over it and applied reinkers to colour in the petals.

Next I layered the background using white card stock and a gorgeous floral patterned paper.

I added a sentiment and some extra flowers to complete the card.

Supplies:

Paper: Grace Taylor Vintage Collection, Stampin’ Up shimmery paper

Ink: Varsamark, Versafine vintage sepia, Stampin’ Up reinkers regal rose and pretty in pink

Stamps: Stampin’ Up Fifth Avenue floral, Grant Archival

Other: Kaisercraft mini paper blooms, Hooked On Craft flowers, Spellbinders Nestabilities romantic rectangles, Spellbinders shapeabilities foliage, Stampin’ Up aqua painter, Distezz it all, Stampin’ Up white embossing powder, Bow easy, blue ribbon.

Congratulations

Hi everyone. I’m back with a new card which is for the WMSC93 sketch.

I wanted to use my new stamps for this challenge. I used the Vintage Labels 18 stamp, but trimmed it down for the card. I also used Prima papers as a starting point. It came with a printed border, perfect for this sketch.

I layered it with some dies and also with one of the Doily stamps, finished with a pearl brad.

I trimmed one of my dies, to create the sentiment tag. I also used some punches and ribbon to create a border on the side of my card.

Supplies:

Paper: Prima Romantique, DCWV pastel

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Fancy Phrases, Large Doily and Vintage Labels 18.

Ink: Versafine Vintage Sepia

Other: Spellbinders Nestabilities standard circles small, lacey circles, Spellbinders Shapeabilities fancy tags 3, Hooked on Craft flowers, Fiskars scallop punch, Stampin’ Up punch, Bow easy, creme ribbon, pearl sticker.

I changed the papers and then finally things started to fall into place!

Stamp: Stampin’ Up Teeny Tiny Sentiments

Ink: Versafine vintage sepia

Happy Birthday

The card I am sharing with you is for the The Shabby Tea Room birthday bash challenge. For this challenge you must include a cup cake.

I recently made an Easter card. I really love the design and how it looked so I have used it again for this card!

To make the cupcake, I drew a cupcake base template that would fit inside the oval die I planned to use. I selected a piece of patterned paper then used a punch to add a decorative edge. Using my Scorpal, I created score lines which I then folded. I used a strong double sided tape to adhere the cupcake to the base.

Using another piece of cardstock, I sketched an outline for the cake. I punched a lot of flowers and glued them along the base of the cake (just one row). Next I glued the cake to the base so that the flowers were semi covered by the base. I continued punching and gluing the flowers to finish the cupcake.

Using a background stamp, I created a background paper which I then inked around the edges. I also used die cut layers to add some interest.

To finish it off, a pretty bow, trinket pin and pearl sticker as well as....a tiny sentiment!

Supplies:

Paper: DCWV pastel paper stack, Grant Archival paper pack, Grant Archival neutral paper stack

Ink: Stampin’ Up soft suede, Distress Ink antique linen

Stamps: Stampin’ Up En Francais and Teeny Tiny Sentiments

Other: Spellbinders Nestabilities lacey ovales, classic ovals large, Spellbinders Shapeabilities standard tag, fleur de lis pendant, Hooked on Craft trinket pin, Prima flower, EK Success small daisy punch, Stampin’ Up eyelet border punch, Scor Pal, Christna Re pearl sticker, Bow easy, pink gingham ribbon, gold nylon ribbon.

Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone. I am loving being on holidays! I have been able to accomplish so much. I managed to finish my quilt top yesterday and am considering machine quilting it myself.
The card I am sharing with you today follows the WMSC92 and the colours follow palette #105 from the Color Room.

The papers actually are more blue than in the photos. This was an interesting colour palette to work with as I don't tend to use yellow in projects.
Supplies:
Paper: My Minds Eye Miss Caroline, DCWV pastels and neutrals
Ink: Distress ink Antique Linine, Versafine Vintage Sepia
Stamp: Waltzingmouse Fancy Phrases
Other: Spellbinders Nestabilities fleur de lis rectangles and classic rectangles large, Spellbinders Shapeabilities Fancy Tags 2, Want 2 Scrap nestabling fancy tags 2, Kaisercraft mini paper blooms buttercream and iceberg, Stampin” Up banner punch.
Thanks for stopping by!
