You're So Sweet

Hello everyone. I am sharing my latest card with you that I have created. I followed a few things week to create my card, a sketch, inspiration photo and a mood board.

At The Shabby Tea Room, you are asked to create a card or project inspired by THE COLORS FROM THE PHOTO, INCLUDE FLOWERS AND A TEA THEME!

To create my background, I used a Martha Stewart border punch to create a mat. I layered it with some pink cardstock followed by papers from Maja Design. I distressed the edges and sewed around the edge. I started layering by adding some complimentary papers, lace and seam binding. I stamped my sentiment and coloured it in using my SU! markers.

I had a resin teapot, which I placed upon some cardstock. I added some foam tape to add some dimension. Of course my cards always have a bow and some flowers!

The sketch that I used is from Mojo Monday. The mood board is from Maja Designs. The mood board provides some inspiration for you to be creative. It's a great concept, especially when you have some beautiful papers to create with.

Supplies:

Paper: Maja Designs vintage summer basics, SU! very vanilla

Stamp: JustRite You're so sweet set

Ink: Versafine vintage sepia

Other: Martha Stewart eyelet lace and doily lace punches, Spellbinders picot edge circles, lacey circles, standard circles small, Memory Box Amira flourish, Melissa Frances resin teapot, Ruby Rock-It lace, seam binding, Hooked on Craft flowers, doily.

Happiest Birthday

Hello everyone. Today I am sharing with my final card as a DT with Cardabilities. As always, the sketch created by Karan is amaizng.

For my design, I pulled out a Stampin' Up! stamp set which I love. I stamped the image using StazOn onto Stampin' Up! watercolour paper. I used my Stampin' Up! markers and a blender pen to colour in the image. To age the image to match my patterned paper, I used a blending tool and distress ink to go over the image.

For the other elements, I used a scallop punch to create the scallop edge to the centre panel. I used some die cuts to frame the flowers. I used a fishtail banner die to die cut the sentiment. To create the frame, I simply traced around it. The centre image plus the sentiment are attached with foam tape, to add some dimension.

Supplies:

Paper: Glitz Design Pretty In Pin, Stampin' Up! very vanilla and watercolour paper

Stamp: Stampin' Up! Apothecary Art

Ink: Distress Ink antique linen, StazOn jet black, Memento, Stampin' Up! markers

Other: Fiskars scallop punch, Hooked on Craft flowers, Sizzix little leaves, Memeory Box elegant scrollwork, Die-namics fishtail flags, Stampin' Up! framelits labels collection.

I hope that you'll join us at Cardabilities this week. Be sure to link back your completed cards back to Cardabilities.

For The Love of Flowers

Hello everyone! Today was such a beautiful day. Week one term one completed and a sleep in accomplished, great weather to be had as well. My card today follows the latest challenge from The Shabby Tea Room.

You are asked to create a card or project inspired by the COLORS IN THE PHOTO AND INCLUDE FLOWERS, LACE & RIBBON!

I created an easel card today. I used Spellbinders grand labels twenty three as the base and front of my card. The decorative frame is by Joy Crafts. I love the details that it offers. I created a floral heart as my central focus. I die cut a heart and placed different sized flowers all over. I also made sure they had differnt tones and sizes to add interest.

For the base of the card, I used some lace, seam binding and a lovey resin heart. This helps support the front of the card to ensure it remains upright. I left the centre of this blank as  I want this card to be available for any special occasion.

Supplies:

Paper: Maja Design Vintage Summer Basics 1923, Stampin' Up! very vanilla

Ink: Victorian velvet distress ink

Other: Spellbinders grand labels twenty three, classic hearts, classic scallop hearts and standard circles small, Joy Crafts vintage flourishes and square frame, Prima shabby chic treasures La Coeur, Hooked on Craft flowers, lace, seam binding, Becca's peg bow maker.

Thanks for stopping by!

Best Wishes

Hello everyone! I am sharing with you my card that follows the current sketch from Cardabilities.

When I saw this sketch I wasn't sure how I was going to create the circle motifs. After playing around with some of my vintage elements I decided that flowers was the way to go. I like to move things around before gluing anything down. I used a variety of crochet flowers and mulberry roses across the centre. It looked fine but then I added some die cuts and then I was happy!

I used foam tape behind each of the banners to add dimension. It also gives you a little wiggle room to move them in case they are not in the right place.

I added some adhesive pearls to the centre of the crochet flowers as they looked a bit bare. The sentiment used some left over papers...nothing goes to waste!

Supplies:

Paper: My Minds Eye The Sweetest Thing Bluebell paperpad, Stampin' Up! very vanilla, Kaisercraft coffee bean and eggshell

Stamp: Waltzingmouse Stamps Fancy Phrases

Ink: Memento tuxedo black

Other: Memory Box Quinn flourish and Amira flourish, Spellbinders fancy framed tags one, JustRite vintage labels and banners die, Grant archival pearl stickers, Kaisercraft pearls, Francheville crochet flowers, Hooked on Craft flowers.

I hope that you'll join us at Cardabilities. Remember to link your project back . Happy crafting and thanks for stopping by!

Friends

Hello everyone! I cannot believe how quickly my school holidays have gone. So much to do in so little time. I have had so many appointments and people to catch up with. I have a card to share with you. It follows the latest challenge from The Shabby Tea Room. You are asked to create a card or project inspired by the INSPIRATION PHOTO USING YELLOW, GREEN, WHITE (OR CREAM) AND INCLUDE FLOWERS AND POLKA DOTS!

Oh my dear friend yellow is back and always is a challenge for me. However, I have papers from Kaisercraft 's Pickled Pear collection and they work perfectly for this challenge. As there were yellow flowers in the paper I wanted the paper to stand out.

I die cut a filigree frame and cut the centre out. I attached it with some small pieces of foam tape. It frames a lovely cluster of yellow roses. I began to layer from there. I used a scallop polka dot die cut, then some lace, rose trim and some pearls.

I stamped my sentiment and created a fishtail banner to frame it. Some cherry blossom, leaves, bow and a butterfly complete my card.

Supplies:

Paper: Kaisercraft Pickled Pear 6 1/2" paper pad

Stamp: Grant Archival (old stamp and I no longer have packaging)??

Ink: Memento tuxedo black

Other: Spellbinders A2 filigree delight and Les papillions two, Francheville vintage lace ribbon, Hooked on Craft leaves, Die-namics fishtail flags stax, ribbon, creme rose trim, Kaisercraft pearl strip, cherry blossoms.

Thanks for stopping by!

Embrace Life

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing with a card that I created which follows a sketch from The Sweet Stop and also the April Mood Board from Maja Designs.

I really love all of the papers from Maja Designs. They are vintage, beautiful and oh so gorgeous! I was so fortunate to have found a stockist in Australia as it can be difficult to source OS paper lines. I have wanted to create a tag, and when I saw The Sweet Stop sketch I thought that this is so perfect for me.

I have papers from the Vintage Summer Basics collection. I played around with them and used some scraps from other projects as well (nothing goes to waste!)

I wanted the tag to be the focus of the card.

I used the Tim Holtz mini bird cage die and some scraps to create the centre image. I inked the bird to give it some dimension. I used foam tape to apply it to the tag to make it pop. I used some cheese cloth to add some softness as well.

Here are some other close ups...

Supplies:

Paper: Maja Designs Vintage Summer Basics 1914, 1932, 1922, 1916, Stampin' Up! crumb cake and very vanilla cardstock

Stamp: Stampin' Up! Embrace Life

Ink: Colorbox Chestnut Roan

Other: Tim Holtz mini bird and cage set, Stampin' Up! antique brads, Cheery Lynn small exotic butterfly, lace, seam binding, doily, Hooked on Craft flowers and leaves, cheese cloth, BoBunny frosting jewels, Distrezz It All.

Thanks for stopping by!
