Grateful

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing some cards with you that I made over the weekend. I bought a while ago the Gina K wreath maker template , but I only had a chance to play with them now! Can I just say that I am a fan!! I made two cards in record time. The longest part of the process was deciding on the colours of inks to stamp with!!!

I decided to use the 4" x 4" template, so once you get into a rhythm using your MISTI, you are right. TIP: Remember to close the lids of your ink pads. I didn't and I picked up the wrong one and I made a mistake in my stamping...never mind!

I used my Hero Arts ink pads to create my wreath. When I have another chance to make more, I will look at all of my stamps to see what other designs I could use from my stash...Christmas is coming!

Flamingo Wreath Card

Hello everyone! I hope that you had a lovely Easter with your loved ones. Today I am sharing a card with you that was a birthday card that I made for someone who absolutely loves flamingos! I also dug deep into my stash to create the floral wreath which frames it as well.

I started my wreath by using a circular stamp and then I pulled out any floral and foliage stamps that I owned and stamped away. It was very easy to do once I had found the stamps that I needed. I used a wink of stella clear pen to highlight some of the flowers in the wreath.

Supplies:

Stamp: Hero Arts Color Layering Flamingo and Die

Paper: Strathmore Smooth

Dies: My Favourite Things Single Stitch Line Rectangle Frames

Ink: Flamingo Hero Arts Soft Pink, Soft Blossom and Ultra Pink
Wreath: Gero Arts Green Hills, Grape Juice, Field Greens, Soft Blossom, Ultra Pink, Altenew Warm Sunshine

Other: MISTI, Wink Of Stella Clear, Foam Tape

Stamps: 49 and Market Gabi's Circle Stitch Stamp Set, Stampin' Up! Vintage Vogue and Baroque motifs, Grant Archival Christina Re, Design a Flower set Practical Publishing

Thank You

Hello everyone. Today I am sharing some thank you cards that I made last year. I had five parent helpers who assisted in my class throughout the year. I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire who shared a tutorial on mass producing cards using the MISTI. You can watch her tutorial here. I also fell in love with the Altenew stamps which she used in her demonstration...vintage and roses... I practised stamping the roses and I can say it does take practise and managed to create five cards in one night. I had the same design for each, but just changed the papers.

I used Maja Design Enjoying Outdoors Collection and each card still looks unique! The MISTI tool is expensive but is certainly worth the investment...particularly for layered stamping and also for mass producing cards.

Joys of Christmas ~ Maja Design ~

Merry Christmas everyone!  This is my final card that I will be sharing with you as a Creative Team member of Maja Design. It has been a dream come true being able to create with the wonderful collections this year and I certainly will continue to do so in the the following months. I hope that today you are enjoying the time with your family and friends and that Santa has been kind to you!

I die cut Spellbinders Fleur de Elelgance and while the paper was still in the die, used a distress ink applicator and sponged weathered wood distress ink. I selected the sentiment from  a Kaisercraft St Nicholas clear stamp and used my MISTI stamping tool to position and stamp it onto my die cut.

To form this cluster, I used a Cheery Lynn fanciful flourish die and used a Green Tara azalea and some Wild Orchid Crafts roses.

To add fullness to my bows, I used two widths of rayon ribbon on my peg bow maker.

As my card reads, I do wish you the joy of Christmas and a safe and prosperous new year. I would also like to thank Marie, Camilla and Jenny for the wonderful opportunity of being part one of the Maja girls this year. I have loved every moment.
