Postage Collage Christmas Cards

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a wonderful day. I am really excited to share some Christmas cards that I have made using the Waffle Flower Postage Collage stencils. I was inspired by the samples shared on their You Tube channel and I wanted to make some. I have been building up my collection of these stencils and I just love them.

To get to know how the stencils work, I created a card following the colours shared on the Waffle Flower blog.

Once I had a play, I found some Distress inks and had a play. I also added the Colouring stencil to have the postage stencil frame around the design. I found the by adding an extra 1/4 inch and trimming down, I had better luck with this stencil.

I really enjoyed creating these cards and appreciate being able to add to this collection.

Thinking of You

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing a card with you that uses some new product PLUS lots of product from my stash. I think that while we love to buy new things, it's important to look at what we have and reimagine how they can be used once again.

I was very impressed with the Waffle Flower Postage Collage release. I purchased the die and one set of stencils. I love the vintage style in my crafting and I thought that I would incorporate this into my card.

I knew in advance which patterned papers I would be using and selected distress inks to compliment. Then I fussy cut vintage elements such as the clock and  aged some butterflies using vintage photo distress ink. I also had some vintage background stamps that I used to add to the vintage feel.

I added some flowers and twine and my card is complete!

Supplies:

Dies: Waffle Flower Postage Collage Die, Die namics fishtail flags stax
Paper: Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics and Vintage Autumn Basics

Christmas Village Step Card

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a wonderful week. This is my final Christmas card for 2023. I love Christmas cottages, and I wanted to create one as a card. I chose to make a step card, which I haven't made for a long time, so that it can be used a home decor next year (maybe)!

I used a Spellbinders die to create my base, and I used distress inks and a stencil to create my snowy background. I wanted the cottages to have a unified look, so I chose the same coloured cardstock. The church has contrasting colours and is a focal for the card.

To add a snowy feel to some of the elements, the die set contains snow banks, which I added in places. To compliment I also added some Nuvo glitter accents in random places.

Supplies:

Dies: Honey Bee Stamps Winter Village, Spellbinders Pop Ups Decorated Birthday S7-207

Ink: Distress ink - stormy sky, faded jeans and chipped sapphire

Cardstock: Kaisercraft- Jungle, crimson, coal, dove, slate, snow, lipstick, spearmint, chestnut, coral and scuba

Other: Simons Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil, modelling paste, Nuvo glitter accents fresh snowfall

Wishing you and yours a safe and happy Christmas and compliments for the new year.

Thanks for stopping by!

Creating Bulk Christmas Cards

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a lovely week. I needed to create some cards for my colleagues at work, so that meant bulk cards. I grabbed the possible supplies that I might use and began. It was great to use some supplies that had been in my stash for such a long time and had not been used. What I came up with was:

- a stamped background
- foiled sentiments that can change
- pearls/rhinestones that can be changed
- focal die cut
- ink blending
- layered mats
- premade card base and envelopes
- bulk cards planned DONE.

From my plan, the design was set but the option to personalise was there. Simple! I am so happy with this card design. I will share another post where I have a part two of this design where I add to this for a second bulk design using some oldie but goodie supplies.

Supplies:

Paper: Kaisercraft Forest, Ivory

Kaisercraft CD509 Card Pack Square Kraft

Poinsettia Bloom Cards

Hello everyone! I hope that you have been enjoying your week. I am enjoying my school holidays and am now sitting down to create some more Christmas cards before school goes back. I really loved this die set once it was released and was eager to make a card or two with it. I used some new and old dies from my stash to create my card. I experimented with cardstock, as I planned to ink blend as was shown on the Spellbinders video. I had the most success using white cardstock and using distress ink for the entire bloom.

I wanted to use a decorate edge, to break up the white, so I used an old Spellbinders border die to achieve this. I love the elegant feel this card has.

This time I wanted to use some of my patterned papers in my card and I decided that I wanted a vintage styled card. Once I decided on my papers, I inked my bloom the same way and I used a different edge die to break up the background.

I used  a script stamp and stamped it in random placed to add an aged feel to my paper. I also added vintage photo distress ink to all of my layers as well.

I am so glad I purchased this die set. It is versatile and so great to use.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Neenah White solar crest heavy weight, Peral cardstock gold,
Paper: Kaisercraft Letters to Santa
Dies: Spellbinders Poinsettia Bloom, Spellbinders Curved Borders Two, Merry Christmas (from my stash), A2 curved borders one
Ink: Versafine vintage sepia, Distress ink vintage photo, barn door and aged mahogany,
Other: Clear vellum, Spellbinders embossing folder holly flourish, Kaisercraft rhinestones red, Kaisercraft Sparklets Daffodil, BoBunny Midnight Frost stamp, Stampin' Up! Winter Post stamp

Hello everyone! I hope that you are keeping well. Today I am sharing another Christmas card and it features Harvey by Tim Holtz. I was so excited when I saw this die as I love the nutcracker and I think this die is perfect! It is part of the Sizzix colorize range so it in theory shouldn't be difficult to construct.

Once I had everything cut out, I inked the edges using distress ink using a sponge dauber to give it an vintage look. Then I went through my stash and pulled out a series of dies and went from there. I loved My Memory Box tree die so I used it again as the scale was perfect with Harvey and I used an old Kaisercraft presents die.

To finish it off, I die cut an oldie but a goodie Spellbinders oval die and inked it with antique linen distress ink and a blending brush to get that aged look. I made my poinsettia and glued everything into place.

Supplies:

To make Harvey

Die : Sizzix Tim Holtz Harvey
Kaisercraft Cardstock: CD311 Oatmeal | CD323 Crimson | CD 303 Dove | CD 305 Concrete | CD 302 Slate | CD 325 Ruby | CD 301 Snow | CD 302 Coal | Gold Metallic Cardstock Anko | Distress Ink Vintage Photo
