Tags ~ Spring Flowers

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing two tags. Meg's Garden has a new collection called Art Tags. They are a collection of tags that you cut out and embellish.

To create my first tag, I cut out one tag then traced around it onto some chipboard to add some stability. I inked the edges using walnut stain distress ink and used a TCW stencil for some texture. I also used some papers from the Spring Flowers Collection to embellish.

For my second tag I once again reinforced my tag with some chipboard. I had this chipboard frame from an earlier release and I felt it coordinated beautifully with one of the Spring Flowers papers. I altered it using some embossing powder.

I used a combination of blooms and lace to add a vintage feel to this tag.
Using the ticket labels also adds to the vintage feel of the tag. I used foam tape to adhere
it to the tag for extra dimension.

Supplies:

Paper: Art Tags, Spring Flowers
Other: TCW Mini ledger, Distress Ink Walnut Stain, Modelling Paste, Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, Lindy's Stamp Gang Midnight Bronze Embossing Powder, Doily, Chipboard Frame, Flowers

Art Foam Flowers Tutorial

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a great week. I have been playing with some art foam, and I came up with some different ways of creating flowers using one die.
These three flowers were created using only two petals. But by making one alteration, three different flowers were created.
The above flower uses the largest petal from the die, die cut three times. It was shaped by scrunching the tops and embellished by using stamens in the centre.
The final two flowers use the smaller petal from the die. Their construction is the same except for the shaping of the petals.
Another variation of flower from DIY Flora Gerbera die.

Below is a video tutorial explaining how each of these flowers was made.

Once you have created these beautiful flowers, it's always wonderful to incorporate them into your projects.

Christmas Tags

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing some Christmas tages that I have created using Kaisercraft's Christmas Edition Collection. I have loved creating with both of the releases this month and I cannot say which one I prefer as they both are vintage and gorgeous!!! I have two styles of tages to share today...a bauble shaped tag and regular size 8 tag.

To embellish this tag, I used some of the wooden flourishes to create a mini scene. I painted them white and then inked them with a brown ink. I used elements from the Lantern Scene Decorative die set to complete the floral cluster. I also flicked some white mist from a spray bottle to create the illusion of snow and to also add interest to the background.

Christmas Wishes Tag

I enjoyed creating wthis tag. The collection has some beautiful pieces in the collectables pack which each collection offers. I also used the Decorative Die which was released as well.

I created a rosette using a Sizzix die and used a sentiment from the collectables to add stability and to also complete the bauble. I have used two bauble dies, layering each and distressing them using a brown ink.
