Happy Birthday Card

Hello everyone! I hope that you are safe and well. Today I am sharing a card with you that features stamps and products from the Lily and Moss Collection by Kaisercraft. I was really inspired by the stamp set and decided that I would use this as my main focus for my card.

I used my copic markers to colour one of the stamps that are part of the stamp set. Once I had finished colouring the image in, I used a white gel pen to add some details to the largest blooms.

To add a vintage feel to my card, I added some die cut details around my stamped image. I used the corner die from the ornate pack 2 plus some rhinestones.

If you don't own copic markers, this image would like beautiful watercoloured using watercolour markers. It doesn't take a long time to colour in, but the results are very pleasing!

Enjoy the Seaside

Hello everyone! I think that summer is nearly here....that is with Kaisercraft! This fabulous sea/beach collection called Unchartered Waters has so many possibilities to capture holiday photos, days spent at the beach or even by the pool. I have two projects to share using this collection.

My layout is a beach inspired layout. I used textures including stamping, cheese cloth, stencils and even some light misting to create my background. I added some altered paper blooms, collectable pieces as well as wooden flourishes to embellish my photo.

I used the stamp set to create a card. I coloured the main image in using copic markers and also created a background using watercolour paper plus some Kaiser mists. I added some collectable pieces to add to the shells, to create a little scene.

Kindness

Hello everyone! Happy September to you and Happy Father's Day to all in Australia.  Every now and then, I pull out some stamps and colour, for relaxation and also to practise techniques. I had finished this card a few weeks ago, but felt it needed 'something.' I added some extra flowers and now I am satisfied.

I have had this Kaisercraft clear stamp in my stash for a long time. I bought it specifically for colouring practise. I used copic markers and then I masked my image and used distress ink to blend around the background.
I used some dies to create the branch, flowers and leaves for the owl.

Supplies:

Paper: Kaisercraft Rose Avenue Paper Pad PP1030, Cardstock Coffee Bean CD108, Forest CD 114, XPress It Blending Card

Stamp: Kaisercraft CS951 Owl

Ink: Distress Ink Tumbled Glass, Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink

Dies: Hero Arts Infinity Oval, Memory Box Flower Mound, Impression Obsession Die and Leaf Cluster, Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance

Do What You Love

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today's post is a little bit different. These projects were completed toward the end of my school term. I was feeling stressed and needed to relax so I was colouring a little bit each night for some relaxation. I was also using this as an opportunity to practise my copic colouring as I haven't done any for ages. I had some practice images and I decided that one was good enough to use on a project. I played around with my distress oxides and before I knew it...a card had been created!

I used some of the Shabby Chic Background papers in my card and the sentiment of a Christmas stamp!

My second card is an elegant card which again uses the Shabby Chic papers. I have wanted to make one these card wrap cards for a while and decided that I would see if I had a suitable die in my stash and have a go and make one.

I had a Heartfelt Creations layered posy die which was originally designed to create a gatefold styled card and it was perfect for this card. I then die cut Memory Box Kensington Branch die along with the sentiment which is part of set from Tim Holtz Celebrate die collection. I needed to have elements that complimented the elegant swirls from the wrap portion of the die.
This middle section of the card lifts up as a top folding card so that you can write your sentiments inside.

Two very different projects completed using the same paper collection but created just for the purpose of enjoyment!

Supplies:

Paper: Shabby Chic Backgrounds

Audrey Doll Tag

Hello everyone! Today I have a tag to share with you. I bought a few of the Julie Nutting doll stamps a while ago, and I haven't used them for ages. As I had some left over papers from some Meg's Garden projects, I thought it would be a great way to use both!

Firstly, I stamped the image twice and die cut them out using the coordinating dies. I stamped the dress onto left over Lavande paper and the face and legs section onto text paper. To colour the face and arms I used copic markers E000, E000, E11 and R20. To colour her hair I used E50, E55, E57 and E59.

To accent areas of her dress, I used copic markers BV000, BV11 and V17. I did some random stamping of butterflies and script over her dress to add some texture. I coloured her waist band in using some clear wink of stella. These flowers are from my stash, and they complement the doll and the papers.

I used the same skin tones to colour her legs. I used a black copic marker and the clear wink of stella to colour her shoes.

Some ribbon, seam binding and butterflies complete the tag.

Hello Friend

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've created anything and posted anything. I have had a break due to some family reasons, had my dreaded reporting term at work, taken some long service leave and have been overseas and I feel the mojo is back!

The card I am sharing started months ago. I coloured the Whimsy image in and it has been in a drawer for months. I had intended to create with it earlier however things happened and it the card was made last night!

I intended to work on techniques this year. I have stock piled copic markers and distress inks/markers and I hope that that will happen at some stage. I have enrolled in a few online classes so now I have to actually complete them!

Home Decor

Hello everyone! Today I would like to share something a little bit different. While I've been recuperating, I decided to work on some techniques that I've been wanting to do for some time. I have wanted to work on copic marker colouring as well as colouring with distress markers. I also hoped that along the way I would find my Mojo! To help me with this process, I enrolled in an online class which if you are interested, the link is here.
