On Top of the World

Happy New Year! This is my first post of the year and I can't believe how quickly the time has passed. I have been busy updating my study...five days of constructing IKEA furniture and sorting out my teaching resources and finally it was complete. So now that is done I can start up some crafting again!

Today I am sharing a card that I have made using a stamp that has been in my stash for a while. I haven't done any type of colouring and felt that it was time. I used distress markers and really enjoyed the process. I am playing along in the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge where you are invited to be square.

Paper: Maja Design Vintage Spring Basic, Strathmore Cold Press Watercolor Paper

Ink: Distress Ink Old Paper and Walnut Stain

You're The Best

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I would like to share a card with you that I have created. I have recently purchased some Gorjuss stamps and I have been trying to learn how to colour. I am still very much a beginner but I am enjoying the process.

I am playing along in a challenge which you can see below.

For my card I have added shimmer, paperclip and flowers. I applied wink of stella to the stamped image as well as a chandelier branch, a Tim Holtz memo pin and of course the flowers.

Supplies:

Paper: Kaisercraft Telegraph Road, X-press it blending card

Stamp: Gorjuss No 5 Ladybird

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic sketch markers

Other: Spellbinders standard circles small and circles delight, Tim Holtz memo pins, lace, Kaisercraft mini paper blooms hot pink, Hooked on Craft flowers, chandelier branch

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Home Decor

Hello everyone! Today I would like to share something a little bit different. While I've been recuperating, I decided to work on some techniques that I've been wanting to do for some time. I have wanted to work on copic marker colouring as well as colouring with distress markers. I also hoped that along the way I would find my Mojo! To help me with this process, I enrolled in an online class which if you are interested, the link is here.

As I was busy colouring, I found this frame at The Reject Shop. I decided that I would display my pictures in and display in in my classroom for the children to see.

Here are some close ups...

As I have been working on these images on and off over the last two weeks, I have had a lot of fun! Using the frame has really made a difference.

Supplies:

Stamps: Altenew Persian Motifs, Gorjuss New Heights, Kaisercraft Butterflies, Tim Holtz Simple Sayings, Digital Stamps free from the internet, Digital Stamps from the on line class (see link above)

Ink: Distress inks

Paper: Strathmore Watercolor Paper, Neenah Crest Solar White

Copic Markers

Thanks so much for stopping by!
