Slimline Card

Hello everyone. I hope that you are keeping safe and well. It has been a little while since I've shared a project with you, but with the challenges of Covid affecting shipping, Kaisercraft have experienced problems in receiving product. I am glad to be able to share a slimline card with you, using the Le Belle Collection. Its vintage and gorgeous.

I have enjoyed creating cards using slimline dimensions. I use 9" x 4" for my card base.

For the focal area of my card, I have used a birdcage and butterfly from the collectables. I fussy cut some flowers from Garden (reverse) to add to the base of the cage. I then altered some paper blooms to add dimension and also add a vintage feel to the card.

As I had chosen a slimline card as my card design, I could take advantage of the extra length of the card front. I used a variety of fishtails created from dies from my stash and adhered them using glue and foam tape to add dimension.

To all of my fellow Sydney friends, I hope the current lockdown has not been too difficult for you and that you are all safe and well.

Take good care.

Vintage Pop and Twist Christmas Card

Hello everyone! I hope that You are well. I cannot believe how quickly the time has gone but I am excited to share with you an interactive Christmas card that looks impressive and is not difficult to make.

I am using products from Kaisercraft's Christmas Miracle kit. This collection is traditional, vintage and gorgeous. That was my inspiration for my design choices but I wanted to do something a little bit different which is why I chose to make the pop and twist design.

I have a video tutorial for you if you would like to make this card.

Happiness Blooms

Hello everyone. I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing with a layout which features the gorgeous papers and products from the Amethyst Collection by Kaisercraft.

I was inspired by the pretty florals in this collection. I also wanted to have distressed/vintage look to my overall layout. I loved this photo! Sometimes you don't have to have people in your images in order to create, the flowers in the basket were perfect for the look I was going for.

To create the distressed/vintage look, I distressed the edges of my papers as well as randomly ripped papers to adhere to my background. I added a doily plus I layered my blooms.

Celebrate Today

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. I cannot believe that we are approaching the end of the month, one that has been filled with so many highs and lows. I am sharing two projects that feature products from Kaisercraft's Native Breeze Collection.

This collection is abundant with beautiful florals, that can potentially showcase so many occasions. I selected this title as I felt with so much sadness affecting us all with the bushfires, tragedies in the media we needed to find hope and some joy in our days.

My second project features the clear stamp from the collection. I stamped it onto Bristol smooth cardstock and used my zig markers to colour it in.

It is such a pretty stamp and watercolour markers really are easy to work with.

Enjoy the Seaside

Hello everyone! I think that summer is nearly here....that is with Kaisercraft! This fabulous sea/beach collection called Unchartered Waters has so many possibilities to capture holiday photos, days spent at the beach or even by the pool. I have two projects to share using this collection.

My layout is a beach inspired layout. I used textures including stamping, cheese cloth, stencils and even some light misting to create my background. I added some altered paper blooms, collectable pieces as well as wooden flourishes to embellish my photo.

I used the stamp set to create a card. I coloured the main image in using copic markers and also created a background using watercolour paper plus some Kaiser mists. I added some collectable pieces to add to the shells, to create a little scene.

Christmas Gifts

Hello everyone. I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing a layout that I have created using Kaisercraft's Starry Night Collection. It has wonderful foil elements and deep blue papers which are a beautiful combination.

To compliment my photos and papers, I created some art foam flowers using some rich, deep colours, accented with gold stamens. I also took advantage of using the glitter cardstock and die cut some leaves as well.

To balance the sentiment of my layout, I selected a navy/gold poinsettia from the collectables and cut it half and used it as an embellishment beneath one of my photos. I always place the mounting foam  in the centre of my photo mats so that I can tuck in any embellishments.

I was really drawn to this sentiment which features on RADIANT along with other inspirational quotes and sentiments. I added a start from the collectables and used mounting foam to make it 'pop.'
