Watercolour Cards using Kaisercraft Stamps and Dies

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a great crafting week. Today I am going to share two cards that I have created using stamps, dies and papers from the Havana Nights Collection by Kaisercraft. Kaisercraft always produce wonderful stamps and dies with each collection and I wanted to share how you can use them along with some simple watercolouring into your cardmaking.

For both cards, I used the white square card pack. The dimensions for the layers I have used are

- navy mat 13cm x 13cm
- TILED (patterned paper) 12.5cm x 12.5cm
- white strip 12.5cm x 5cm
- blue strips 12.5cm x 2cm

For this card, I used four stamps and two dies. All of the colours for the watercolouring were determined by the tiles in the paper. Simple techniques and maximum impact!

My second card has the same layout as the previous card and also includes similar elements. It uses two dies and two stamps.

As the colour palette is restricted, the elements compliment each other and work together.

Below is video tutorial demonstrating the techniques and the construction of both of these cards.

Home Decor

Hello everyone! Today I would like to share something a little bit different. While I've been recuperating, I decided to work on some techniques that I've been wanting to do for some time. I have wanted to work on copic marker colouring as well as colouring with distress markers. I also hoped that along the way I would find my Mojo! To help me with this process, I enrolled in an online class which if you are interested, the link is here.

As I was busy colouring, I found this frame at The Reject Shop. I decided that I would display my pictures in and display in in my classroom for the children to see.

Here are some close ups...

As I have been working on these images on and off over the last two weeks, I have had a lot of fun! Using the frame has really made a difference.

Supplies:

Stamps: Altenew Persian Motifs, Gorjuss New Heights, Kaisercraft Butterflies, Tim Holtz Simple Sayings, Digital Stamps free from the internet, Digital Stamps from the on line class (see link above)

Ink: Distress inks

Paper: Strathmore Watercolor Paper, Neenah Crest Solar White

Thank You

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing a card with you that is one that I created on a night that I had a 'brain break.' Term four is so busy and I am working seven days a week with school, so I treated myself to a craft night. I haven't participated in any challenge for the longest time so I thought that I would enjoy the chance and do so. I have followed the current Mojo Monday sketch and also the latest JustRite challenge which is to create a card for someone that says something nice.

I  have used a stamp from JustRite Violette Vintage Labels stamp set and coloured it in using Distress markers and shaded it using a Dove blender pen. I stamped the sentiment Thank You as shown.

Here are some close ups....

Supplies:

Paper: Maja Design Enjoying Outdoors, Strathmore watercolour paper

Stamps: JustRite Violette Vintage Lables

Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, Distress Markers

Other: JustRite Label and Banner Dies, Green Tara Cherry Blossoms, Magnolia Rose Leaf Die, Doily.

Thanks for stopping by!
