All White Christmas Card

Hello everyone! I have been wanting to make a white card for a little while, and decide to make one for Christmas. To create my card, I used a combination of dies as well as textures to create it.

I used a Spellbinders M-Bossibilities folder to create my main background. I then used a Joy Crafts die, layered with a Marianne Craftable then followed by the Memory Box candles die. All layers were attached with foam tape to add dimension.

Supplies:

Paper: SU! Whisper White

Other: Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Dainty Dots, Memory Box Glowing Candles, Marianne Craftables CR1201, Joy Crafts 6002/0147, Cheery Lynn Merry Chistmas Set, Kaisercraft Paper Blooms Coconut and Pearls Snow, Green Tara Cherry Blossoms, White Ribbon, Vivaldi Pearl Spray, Sullivans Branch Punch, Martha Steart Branch Punch.

Thanks For Stopping by!

The French Garden Mini Album

Hello friends and bloggers! It's Cathy here today and I have another paper bag mini album to share with you. It's shabby chic and it uses The French Garden Book Kit. I have lots of photos to share with this project so a cuppa may be needed!

To compliment the flowers and the also the vintage photo, I added some vintage touches. I used a vintage stick pin and also used some diamante trim .

On my first two pages, I have some interaction. On the left, I have a tri-fold photo mat that is inside the top pocket which can fit a total of 6 photos. On the right, the photo place holder which is a Kathy Orta concept enables you to place photo mats so as not to cover the paper.

Tri-fold photo mat (above)

The photo place holder (above). I used some of the die cuts from the kit and added some Spellbinder dies to further enhance it. You can tuck in tags and photo mats behind it.

Each of the pages has a large photo mat as well as shown. I used a background stamp from my stash that compliments the papers. The next two pages also have interaction. They have a large photomat (not shown) a flap, and a side pocket for smaller photomats and tags.

The next two pages have the same interaction again, a large photomat(not photographed) and a side pocket and a flap.

The final page includes the back cover. It has a side pocket and a photo frame that has a rectangular photomat.

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone. Today I would like to share with you a layout that I have made this week. I am making an album for my brother and thought I would kick start it by using one of the Christmas photos that I have of my siblings when they were little. I have used Kaisercraft's Christmas Carol collection for this project.

I really wanted to have a lot of foliage on the left and spent a bit of time figuring out how to achieve this. Using the papers, I made two poinsettias using  Spellbinders die. I also added some Kaisercraft paper blooms that coordinate with the papers to add to the cluster.

I also added some punched branches using two tones of green using scraps from the paper collection to add depth to the cluster. I layered some flourishes in there as well.

I have a Memory Box winterberry spring die which I used, but added some pearls to to make it stand out. At the end, I added some foam stamens to fill in the gaps.

I used one of the Collectables from the paper collection as my title and added a die cut box from Memory Box along with a rhinestone.

I inked the edges of all of my pieces using distress ink and machined stitched as well, just add to add some extra definition. I used some Kaisercraft pearls as my centres of both of my poinsettias.

Supplies:
Paper: Kaisercraft Christmas Carol and Collectables

Ink: Distress Ink Brished Corduroy

Other: Memory Box Winterberry Sprig, Crisp Bows and Whimsical Flourish, Martha Stewart Branch Punch and Cherish, Sullivans Branch Punch, Kaisercraft Rhinestone Flourish Ice, Pearls Red, Paper Blooms Cranberry and Olive, Vivaldi Foam Spray Stamens, Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Clockwork, Doily, Die-namics Fishtail Flag Stax, Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia.

Merry and Bright

Hello everyone! I have another Christmas card to share with you. I got home late, so this is not photographed in natural light and I tried my best to get different angles as this is metallic paper. As the title suggests, Merry and Bright drove my card design.

I stamped and embossed using a gold embossing powder my centre ornament. I also inked the edge of my poinsettia using a gold ink pad. I used gold and cream in my design.

Supplies:

Paper: Kaisercraft St Nicholas Paper Pad, SU! Very Vanilla, American Crafts Christmas Glittery Paper pad

Stamp: JustRite Stampers Merry and Bright

Ink: Versa Mark and Versa Colour Gold, Zing Gold Embossing Powder

Other: Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia, 2010 Heirloom Ornaments, Standard Circles Large Nestabilities, Prima Flowers Arcadian Collection Rosy, Martha Stewart Branch Punch, Sullivans Branch Punch, Memory Box Frostyville Border, Gold Beads, Ribbon, Mini Pearls Spray Gold.

Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone! I've finally started to make some Christmas cards! My card follows a sketch from Retro sketches which you can see below.

I love vintage cards so I went with a paper collection that is vintage. I also spent a bit of time creating my poinsettia using my Susan's Garden tool kit. I used my Spellbinders die to die cut the petals and used some gold beads for the centres.

I also dis some machine stitching to define some of may papers. I didn't ink or distress the edges this time round.

Supplies:

Paper: Kaisercraft St Nicholas Paper Collection

Other: Spellbinders Marvelous Squares and Layered Poinsettia, Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish, Gold Beads, Lace, SU! Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding

Blessings For Today ~ The Shabby Tea Room ~

Hello everyone! Today I would like to share a card with you that I have created as part of the current challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room. I am so lucky to be a GDT and to play along in this challenge.

‘Just Neutrals’ – create a card/project inspired by the photo using only neutrals!

When I saw this photo the direction I went with was neutrals of course and texture. I used a variety of textures in my flowers and also in my bow.

My sentiment referenced back to the pumpkins in the photo. My frame I left bare. By propping it up with foam tape, I was able to wrap the twine around my card for more dimension and of course that texture that I wanted.

Supplies:

Paper: Kaisercraft basecoat paper Pad, SU! Crumb Cake and Whisper White

Stamp: JustRite Enjoy the Day Vintage Labels Four

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa and Prima Dark Bark

Other: Kaisercraft Paper Blooms Coconut, Mini Paper Blooms Coconut and Wooden Flourishes Frames, Little Birdie Burlap Flowers and Butterfly, Eyelets and Twine.

Thanks for stopping by!
