Easter Cards

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing two Easter cards that I have made. I cannot believe how fast the time has gone by and I thought that I should start replenishing my card supply with some more Easter cards before next week. For my cards, I have used Maja Design papers, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and Scrapinec chipboard.

To alter my chipboard pieces, I heat embossed them using white embossing powder. To glue them onto my papers, I used a Zig pen....so great with the fine details....wished I had tried using this earlier!

This is a more subdued card. I used left over papers from the paper pad to die cut a wreath frame. I used tiny WOC blossoms to embellish and also some liquid pearls to add some finishing touches.

This is a short post from me today. I hope you all have a wonderful week.

The Easter Bunny Is Here

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing the first of two posts that feature some felt plushie toys that I have made over the school holidays. As you can see, the Easter Bunny AKA Plush Liam from Memory Box has bounced into my home!

This plushie was very simple to make. It comes with a carrot. I used a copic marker to colour the cheeks and ears. I also used some Doodlebug Designs black sprinkles for the eyes.

I will share my next round of plushies very soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Card ~ Meg's Garden ~

Hello everyone. Easter is on its way. I was so inspired by the beautiful new collection from Meg's Garden White Flowers on Green to create an Easter card.

I have used three papers to create my base. The papers compliment each other beautifully. I started with a 6 inch square and decreased each layer by a 1/4 of an inch before adhering with thick adhesive foam. I fussy cut this butterfly from one of the ephemera pages. My sentiment is stamped and heat embossed on vellum.

The ribbon and lace create a shabby chic/vintage look to a card which I love. These are available from Meg's Garden. The floral vine was fussy cut from one of the ephemera pages. The chippies are from my stash.

I used a combination of green and white flowers to complete my card.

Supplies from Meg's Garden:
Ribbons and Lace

Other:
Ink: Distress Ink Pumice Stone
Chipboard Scrapinec 3949 and 3556

Flowers Prima Salvage District #586423, The Scrapbook Store paper Daisies

Other: Morgan and Finch buds, We R Memory Keepers punch, 1/2 inch punch, Hero Arts White Embossing powder, Stampin' Up Teeny Tiny Sentiments Clear Vellum.

Easter Cards

Hello everyone! It was so lovely to finally see some sunshine this weekend after having such a wet and dreary week. It activated my creativity and I began making some cards for Easter. I have admired shaped cards for a long time and decided that I would make some.

I used two patterned papers from Lemoncraft and used my Spellbinders dies to create my shaped cards. I used lots of dimensional foam tape between my layers and distress ink to add definition between each layer.

I used Prima flowers and Green Tara roses to decorate as well as die cut leaves.

My second Easter card also uses papers from Lemoncraft. This collection is just so  beautiful!

I used some die cuts and added some bling with some liquid pearls.

Again, I have used flowers from Prima and Green Tara.

Supplies:

Paper: Lemoncraft House of Roses

Stamp:Stampin' Up! Teeny Tiny Sentiments

Ink: Distress ink Vintage Photo and Versafine Vintage Sepia

Dies: Elizabeth Craft Curvy Leaves, Memory Box Forget Me Not, Spellbinders Curved Border two and Grand Ovals

Flowers: Prima and Green Tara

Other: Liquid Pearls white opal and hemp

Happy Easter ~ Maja Design~

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing an Easter project with you. As Easter is only a few days away, I was inspired to create a project that embraced the season. For both my card and basket I used papers from the Vintage Spring Basics Collection.

I bought a chipboard basket from my local craft store and pulled it apart (the handle). Using scrap paper, I traced a template before transferring it onto the 12” Vintage Spring Basics 3rd of March paper. I had some button brads in my stash that coordinated perfectly with the papers which I used to reconnect the handle back onto the basket. I used a Prima white edger to ink the raw edges. This was so quick to alter and the end result is so cute!

To create my card I used papers from the Vintage Spring Basics paper pad. I always pull out the possible papers that I might use and play around with them for a while until I find a combination that I like.

My sentiment is the reverse label from 2nd of March paper...don’t throw away your scraps...they come in so handy!

As you can see, I used a few dies here. I used a Spellbinders D-lites Filigree Egg die and Elegant Ovals with the centre removed to frame the egg. I backed the egg using a paisley paper from the paper pad to add another layer that was subtle enough to provide a contrast to the yellow paper. I framed the egg with various flowers from stash that I have had for quite a while. I had some daffodils which work perfectly with my sentiment. I die cut some leaves using Poppy Stamps Lorelai Leaf die and shaped them using a stylus and moulding pad from my Susan’s Garden Tool Kit.

Maja Design products used:

May you enjoy spending time with your family this Easter and for those planning to take a trip, remember to stay safe.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
