Spring theme - Garden of Paradise

Hi everyone. I am sharing a digital layout that I completed a few weeks ago. You might recognise this photo as being the photo I use in my blog. Yes, it is me. A few years ago I was fortunate enough to travel to Spain, France and Italy. This photo was taken the first day, fresh of the plane. We had an hour to kill before the hotel was ready.....30 hours from Sydney to Madrid!

Supplies:
Software: PSE8

Sweet Tweet!

Hi everyone. The card that I am sharing with you is for the Shabby Tea Room Challenge Garden Party which asks for you to create a card or project inspired by the COLORS FROM THE INSPIRATION PHOTO AND INCLUDE A DIMENSIONAL FLOWER(s)!

I fell in love with the image and wished it were the gates to my own garden! I really liked the peeling paint and the shabby look to the wood. To create this I added crackle paint to the bird cage on my card.

I die cut the bird using chipboard. I applied a layer of gesso, then inked using distress inks.
The branch was also die cut using chipboard. I applied the gesso and applied ink with a sponge dauber.

Some other close ups....

Supplies:

Paper: English Garden (digital file), Stampin! Up Old Olive and Whisper White cardstock, chipboard

Stamp: Hot Off the Press Sweet Tweet

Silver Beauty

Hi fellow friends. I am sharing my take on the latest Waltzingmouse Sketch.
This week, I decided to tackle silver. After going through my stash, I pulled out some vellum papers and discovered things I had forgotten I had!!

My background paper is a vellum with a subtle silver design going through it (you can't really tell in my photos). I stamped the sentiment and focal images from the  Waltzingmouse Victorian Frippery stamp set with Versamark ink and then embossed with silver embossing powder.

I used some silver vellum to add borders to my images. I die cut a border strip with the silver and love how it looks in the centre of the card.

To complete the card, I added ribbon, lace and a trinket pin. I also used the silver filigree heart brad to add a final silver touch to the card.

Supplies:

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps Victorian Frippery

Other: White card stock, Silver Vellum and patterned vellum, Spellbinders Nestabilities standard circles large, classic squares large and classic scalloped squares large, Spellbinders Shapeabilities Fleur De Lis Accents, Versamark, American Crafts Zing silver embossing powder, Hooked on Craft trinket pin, Autumn Leaves scrap metal, ribbon, lace, Bow Easy.

Beautifully Shaped

Hi everyone. Last night I finished my maths comments and had time to create a card. The card I created is for the latest Shabby Tea Room Challenge 'Beautifully Shaped.' For this challenge you need to create  a SHAPED card or project that is also inspired by THE COLORS IN THE PHOTO!  This week we're looking for 'shaped' cards -- NO squares or rectangles this week, please!
I have never completed such a card and thought it would be really difficult. I found a template and then it started from there.

After tracing and cutting out the shabby dresser template, I used distress ink to edge the card. I then applied more distress ink to disguise the white background. I cut two rectangles from some floral background paper. inked the edges and applied to the background. I used some Spellbinders dies and pearls to add the accents to create the drawer fronts.

I used a different floral paper to complete the dresser. It is a semi cloud type shape. I inked it and added it to the background.

To create the mirror of the dresser, I used my latest Spellbinders die and teamed it with this lovely cameo stamp. To add some of the colours from the inspiration picture, I used flowers to fulfill this criteria.
Some lace, a key and a stamped sentiment finish my card.

Supplies:

Paper: Nitwit Collection Thimbles'n'threads

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps Cameo To Go

Ink: Distress Ink tattered Rose, Colorbox Chalk Ink Rose Coral

Other: Spellbinders Nestabilities classic ovals small and floral ovals, Spellbinders Shapeabilities fancy tags, Hooked on Craft flowers, Kaisercraft flowers and pearls, Bow easy, lace, card template

Your Smile Prima "BAP May"

Hi everyone. I haven't completed a LO for a while and decided that it was time. For this LO, I am following the Prima BAP sketch for May.

I have some new craft products that I was dying to use. My first was a Spellbinders die. I created a frame and added a pendant, just to add a girly touch.
To create the frame, first run the die template through your die cut machine using chipboard. This gives it some strength. Using the same die template, repeat this but using a piece of cardstock of your choice. Glue the two together. Add some jump rings and attach the pendant to your frame. I also added some drops of liquid pearls.

Supplies:

Paper: Prima Fairy Belle Aquarelle, Romantique 8" paper pad, DCWV pastel

Ink: Distress Ink Tattered Rose

Other: Spellbinders Shapeabilities Butterflies and Antique frame and accents, Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish, Prima flowers Arcadian collection Rosy and Perle Bebe Fairy Belle, Hooked on Craft flowers, Prima alphabet stickers, Martha Stewart punch swirling lace, liquid pearls bisque, paper doily, lace, jump rings, pendant.

Pretty In Pink

Hi everyone. At the moment, I am so time poor as I am in the midst of writing school reports. I rewarded myself by taking some time to create a card.

The card I am sharing with you is for the WMSC96.

The papers I used were part of a free collection with a craft magazine. I discovered that they were digital and I went online and bought the collection. What I love about digital papers is that you will never run out and you can always tweak them to suit your project.

As the colours are soft, I thought that the design needed to be. I also need more birthday cards, as in the next couple of months I have a lot of birthdays coming up!

I used the large doily stamp, and began to layer from there.

I embossed some white paper to add a soft touch to the card.

I thought about using buttons, but chose a butterfly die with some small flowers. I used some liquid pearls to add a little bit of bling!

Supplies:

Paper: DCWV pastel, Nitwit Collections - Thimbles 'n' Threads

Ink: Colorbox Chalk Rose Coral

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Fancy Phrases and Large Doily

Other: Spellbinders Shapeabilities Fancy tags and Butterflies, Martha Stewart double edge doily lace trim punch, Cuttlebug Stylised Flowers embossing folder, Hooked on Craft flowers, Liquid Pearls petal pink.

Thanks for stopping by!
