Thinking of You

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing a card with you that uses some new product PLUS lots of product from my stash. I think that while we love to buy new things, it's important to look at what we have and reimagine how they can be used once again.

I was very impressed with the Waffle Flower Postage Collage release. I purchased the die and one set of stencils. I love the vintage style in my crafting and I thought that I would incorporate this into my card.

I knew in advance which patterned papers I would be using and selected distress inks to compliment. Then I fussy cut vintage elements such as the clock and  aged some butterflies using vintage photo distress ink. I also had some vintage background stamps that I used to add to the vintage feel.

I added some flowers and twine and my card is complete!

Supplies:

Dies: Waffle Flower Postage Collage Die, Die namics fishtail flags stax
Paper: Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics and Vintage Autumn Basics

Ink: Distress ink Victorian Velvet, Tattered Rose, Vintage Photo, Peeled Pain, Versafine vintage sepia

Stamps: Simon Says Stamp Handwritten Borders Stamp, Kaisercraft Butterflies CS854, Antiquities CS352, Texture Postmarks CS802

Other: Waffle Flowers Postage Collage Rose Stencil, Wild Orchid Crafts Blooms

Celebrate Today

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing a wedding card that I made for a family friend. I selected navy blue as it was the colour of the brides maids.

I added some vintage touches that I hope added something special, so that this card can be a keepsake for the special day. I used Maja Design papers, Prima flowers and goodies from my stash!

Thanks for stopping by!

Noel ~Christmas Card

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. I have finally finished my Christmas cards for the year. I created two cards using the same card design, using dies and papers from my stash...supplies that have been dormant for a while so it brought it me great pleasure in using them once again.

I wanted to use this elegant candle die as my focal image. I framed it with a Spellbinders oval die and some flowers. I made the white poinsettia and used other flowers from my stash. I inked the edges using distress ink to create the vintage look.

Once I had created the blue card, I repeated the same design in pink. Easy!

Supplies:

Paper: Maja Design Vintage Frost Basic |Kaisercraft Forest CD114 and Snow CD 301

Dies: Memory Box Glowing Candles | Hero Arts Christmas Words Fancy Dies | Tim Holtz Holiday Greens | Spellbinders Oval Floral | Magnolia Christmas Poinsettia

Other: Distress ink Vintage Photo | Wild Orchid Crafts Blooms | Sullivans Punch | Kaisercraft Rhinestones SB710 Orange

Have a blessed and safe Christmas

Born to Ride ~ Maja Design

Hello everyone! I hope you are all well. Today I am going to share a grungy/mixed media layout that I have created using  the wonderful Nyhavn Collection. I used Dockside in Bloom as my background paper. I used Crushed Shells Glimmer mist to darken the centre of the paper, then splattered some Lindy’s Stamp Gang Blue Hawaiian Blue as well as Mister Hueys Opaque White and Inky Black mists randomly around the page. I also randomly stamped over this using some Tim Holtz Ultimate Grunge stamps.

I die cut some cogs using chipboard and Spellbinders sprightly sprockets dies the used Distress Crackle Paint to alter them. I also used some left over papers and stamped some chevrons from Impression Obsession. I added a BoBunny brad to one cog to add some extra dimension.

I used a grunge front from Kaisercraft to stamp part of my title. I also stamped the edge of my base page in a grunge texture stamp also from Kaisercraft to add some texture to my page. I inked all of my papers with Black Soot distress ink to add definition.

Finally, when I added my photo, I used some twine. I wrapped it around a modelling paste container to get the rounded shape the carefully positioned some small glue dots to adhere it into place. I used a small peg to attach it to my photo.

Maja Design papers used:
Nyhavn-L

Dockside In Bloom

Sitting At the Dock

Heritage Harbour

Old Townhouses
