Last Minute Christmas Cards

Hello everyone! It's quite late and very, very, hot! Today I had plans to do some last minute shopping, but with temperatures near 40 degrees today, I decided that staying indoors was a better option. I had planned to do this post tomorrow but it is too hot to try and have some sleep. Anyway, I created two cards tonight...last minute Christmas cards.

I love vintage cards and I really love the St Nicholas Collection by Kaisercraft. These two cards feature products from this range. My card is  6" in size. I distressed and inked the edges to create an aged look. The flourishes were also inked using distress ink to continue this look. A bow and some flowers complete this card.

Supplies:

Kaisercraft Products: St Nicholas Collection Paper Pad, Mini Paper Bloom Fire Red

Other: SU! Very Vanilla Cardstock and Seam Binding, Spellbinders Picot Edge Circles. Long Classic Rectangles and Flourish Trim,  Distress Ink Antique Linen

Peace, Love and Joy

My second card features an image from the collectables in the collection. Again, some layers with inked edges. some lace and of course flowers!

Supplies:

Kaisercraft Products: St Nicholas Paper Pad, Paper Blooms and Mini Paper Blooms Fire Red, Pearls Latte

Other: Spellbinders Opulent Ovals, Distress Ink Antique Linen, Lace, SU! Very Vanilla Cardstock.

Kaisercraft ~ Marker Storage Unit ~ Kaisercraft Confetti Collection

Hello again. Today I am sharing a marker storage unit which I have decorated using papers from Kaisercraft's Confetti Collection. As you can see it is cheery, bright and functional. I wanted to add dimension to my project as it is something that I will see each time I sit down to create, so I want it to be inspiring as well as something I enjoy seeing. I am going to show a lot of photos in this post (my apologies in advance!)

I wanted something dimensional to feature on the top. I die cut a doily and created the blossom tree. The pots are actually candles. I just added some lace and flowers to the top.

I selected a wooden bird flourish and used distress crackle paint to decorate it. As it is uneven, it adds different dimension and the illusion of feathers.

I painted the interior and parts of the exterior with white paint. The rest was decorated with papers from The Confetti Collection. As you can see, I used some paper to cover the interior. Having a subtle colour showing adds to overall finish.

The sides have dimensional flower pots. These are peat pots used in gardens! I bought some from Bunnings and simply cut in half, created a back so that I could attach to the side. Inside the pot is some florist foam which enabled me to add my assortment of flowers.

Kaisercraft ~ Confetti Collection ~

Hello everyone. Today I would like to share some cards that I have made using Kasiercraft's Confetti Collection. My first card has a stamped image which I coloured in using KAISERfusion markers. My skill level in this technique is at a beginners level, but with more practise who knows!

When colouring a stamped image using the Kaiserfusion markers, ensure that you use a cardstock and ink pad designed for alcohol markers. This will ensure that you get the best results for your stamped image. I have used a stamp from an earlier collection. Using the Kaiserfusion markers, you are able to extend the use of your stamps and not limit yourself to a particular collection thus enabling you to create even more wonderful projects!

Supplies:

Kaisercraft Products: Confetti Collection Paper Pad PP921, Confetti Collection Collectables CT775, Kaisercard Weave Robin Egg CD170, Kaisercard Weave Rose CD180, Paper Blooms Sage F632, Mini Paper Blooms Fairy Floss F657, Lil Primrose Garden Party Clear Stamp CS812, Kaiserfusion Markers R02 Strawberry, R05 Poppy, P02 Petticoat, P06 Champagne,  P07 Fleur, P09 Tulip, SK01 Creme, SK02 Ivory, SK03 Flesh, A02 Arctic, BR11 Mocha, WG03 Earthstone.
