Grateful

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. I cannot believe how quickly time has passed and that this post will be my last for 2019....more new projects to follow in the new year. My layout features papers from the December release Grand Bazaar Collection from Kaisercraft and it is titled "Grateful." At the end of each year, we truly have so much to be grateful for, even in times when we are surrounded by hardship such as the bushfires and drought. We can only hope that the new year brings us a positive start and the much needed rain we are all praying for.
I have altered some paper blooms to use in my layout. To learn how to do this I have a tutorial in a previous blog post or you can click here to view the video.

I really liked the sentiments found in the tags from the collectables and incorporated these into my layout just by tucking them in at the end of my borders.
I created my own title by using a word die and kraft cardstock. I kept my embellishments muted so they would compliment the papers and also not compete with the colours of the boys' clothing.

Birthday Party

Happy December everyone! I cannot believe how quickly the time has gone by. Today I am sharing a layout that I have created using Oh Happy Day Collection by Kaisercraft. My layout was designed around the photo...the joy the little girl is showing in looking at the butterflies is precious. It also reminds me of the excitement that children share when it is their birthday and everyone is gathered around ready to sing 'Happy Birthday,' pure joy.

I also went out of my comfort zone and used yellow - not one of my go to colours.  I selected paper blooms and altered them using a technique I shared previously.

I also added a doily as an accent, we use doilies as decorations at parties and it was great to use one again in a project.

Supplies:

PAPERS: Oh Happy Day Collection – P2896 Wrapped Up, P2897 Yah, P2898 Party Paper

Enjoy the Seaside

Hello everyone! I think that summer is nearly here....that is with Kaisercraft! This fabulous sea/beach collection called Unchartered Waters has so many possibilities to capture holiday photos, days spent at the beach or even by the pool. I have two projects to share using this collection.

My layout is a beach inspired layout. I used textures including stamping, cheese cloth, stencils and even some light misting to create my background. I added some altered paper blooms, collectable pieces as well as wooden flourishes to embellish my photo.

I used the stamp set to create a card. I coloured the main image in using copic markers and also created a background using watercolour paper plus some Kaiser mists. I added some collectable pieces to add to the shells, to create a little scene.

Live For The Moment

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing a layout that I have created using the Lady Like Collection from Kaisercraft. I was inspired by the beautiful floral papers and accessories that accompany this collection. Vintage florals are one of my favourites to design with.

To break up the background, I tore up JESSICA reverse and adhered it to the centre of ELISE. It adds the vintage feel I wanted to achieve.

I also created some art foam flowers in different sizes as embellishments for my layout. I also used some Kaiser ink pads to alter white art foam to achieve the colours that I wanted.
I selected flourishes and altered them using crackle paint to frame my photo and also add a layer to my florals.

I also incorporated collectable items including florals, butterflies and vintage clock. I used the florals as a base to build my other flowers upon and they help to add dimension to the layout.
