Easter Cards

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing two Easter cards that I have made. I cannot believe how fast the time has gone by and I thought that I should start replenishing my card supply with some more Easter cards before next week. For my cards, I have used Maja Design papers, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and Scrapinec chipboard.

To alter my chipboard pieces, I heat embossed them using white embossing powder. To glue them onto my papers, I used a Zig pen....so great with the fine details....wished I had tried using this earlier!

This is a more subdued card. I used left over papers from the paper pad to die cut a wreath frame. I used tiny WOC blossoms to embellish and also some liquid pearls to add some finishing touches.

This is a short post from me today. I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Audrey Doll Tag

Hello everyone! Today I have a tag to share with you. I bought a few of the Julie Nutting doll stamps a while ago, and I haven't used them for ages. As I had some left over papers from some Meg's Garden projects, I thought it would be a great way to use both!

Firstly, I stamped the image twice and die cut them out using the coordinating dies. I stamped the dress onto left over Lavande paper and the face and legs section onto text paper. To colour the face and arms I used copic markers E000, E000, E11 and R20. To colour her hair I used E50, E55, E57 and E59.

To accent areas of her dress, I used copic markers BV000, BV11 and V17. I did some random stamping of butterflies and script over her dress to add some texture. I coloured her waist band in using some clear wink of stella. These flowers are from my stash, and they complement the doll and the papers.

I used the same skin tones to colour her legs. I used a black copic marker and the clear wink of stella to colour her shoes.

Some ribbon, seam binding and butterflies complete the tag.

Easter Card ~ Meg's Garden ~

Hello everyone. Easter is on its way. I was so inspired by the beautiful new collection from Meg's Garden White Flowers on Green to create an Easter card.

I have used three papers to create my base. The papers compliment each other beautifully. I started with a 6 inch square and decreased each layer by a 1/4 of an inch before adhering with thick adhesive foam. I fussy cut this butterfly from one of the ephemera pages. My sentiment is stamped and heat embossed on vellum.

The ribbon and lace create a shabby chic/vintage look to a card which I love. These are available from Meg's Garden. The floral vine was fussy cut from one of the ephemera pages. The chippies are from my stash.

I used a combination of green and white flowers to complete my card.

Supplies from Meg's Garden:
Ribbons and Lace

Ink: Distress Ink Pumice Stone
Chipboard Scrapinec 3949 and 3556

Flowers Prima Salvage District #586423, The Scrapbook Store paper Daisies

Christening Card

Hello everyone! As I write this blog post I am enjoying a cool breeze for the first time in a long while. The heat way that has taken over Sydney has been unbearable! 40 plus degree days in succession is too much to bear. It is so nice to have a window open and just let the house cool down naturally.

Todays card follows the current sketch from Mojo Monday.

I have a Christening to attend in a few weeks and felt inspired by this sketch to create my card. It took a few attempts because yesterday the temperature was 43 degrees and my focus was well...not happening!

Supplies:

Paper: Maja Design Vintage Baby

Stamp: Stampin Up! All God's Grace

Ink: Hero Hues Black, Distress Ink Walnut Stain

Other: Scrapinec chipboard, Wild Orchid Crafts Magnolia flower, Martha Stewart rose leaf punch, lace, hemp

Thanks so much for stopping by!
