Thankful

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a lovely day. Today I am sharing a card that I have made using Kaisercraft's Peachy Collection. It has muted soft tones of lovely soft peach colours, rose gold images and of course beautiful flowers. I have been trying to set this post for a few days but technology has not been my friend. Windows update, new iPhone, iTunes update and none of it is syncing or working grrr. Am on to it trying to get it sorted to day before school goes back next week.

Over on Kaisercraft blog, there are step by step instructions available for you to download. Meanwhile, here are some close ups for you to view...
Wish me luck as I go for round two in my battle with my devices today!

With Sympathy

Hello everyone. Sadly, there comes a time when we make these cards. Hopefully the handmade component, can help to ease the pain the recipient is feeling during a difficult period. I will be passing this card to someone who sadly is saying goodbye to her son who passed in tragic circumstances. When called to help a friend, his life was taken. This story was on the news two weeks ago. The mother is a close friend of my mother, and is very religious. She has been a support to my family during our sad times in the last two years. Hopefully this card will bring some respite to her during this time.

I stamped the flowers and sentiment using Versmark ink and embossed both using gold embossing powder. I watercoloured the flowers using Tombow markers and then to create a vintage look, inked the edges using antique linen distress oxide ink.

Here are some close ups...

Peony Scrolls using Tombow Markers

Hello everyone! I am so thrilled to be on school holidays, resting up and catching up on the the errands etc that need to be done. I also have felt the urge for stamping and watercolouring. I was waiting for some special paper to arrive in the mail so I could try my new watercolour pens and I love them!

I used Altenew's Peony Scrolls stamp set and watercoloured them using Tombow markers. I stamped the flowers and leaves using Versamark ink several times onto Strathmore smooth white paper and heat embossed them using Hero Arts white embossing powder. I used a watercolor brush and the Tombow markers to colour the flowers and leaves.
The Strathmore paper is also great for backgrounds using Distress ink. I had no problems using my ink blending tool at all! I arranged my flowers and leaves and either used glue or foam tape to add some dimension to my composition.

Supplies:

Stamp: Altenew Peony Scrolls Stamps and matching die

Paper: Stathmore Smooth

Tombow Markers: Pink 723, Green 133 and 195

Ink: Distress Ink Tumbled Glass

Other: My Favourite Things Single Stitch Line Rectangle Frames, Foam Tape, Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix Sequins

Thanks so much for stopping by!
