Tags ~ Spring Flowers

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing two tags. Meg's Garden has a new collection called Art Tags. They are a collection of tags that you cut out and embellish.

To create my first tag, I cut out one tag then traced around it onto some chipboard to add some stability. I inked the edges using walnut stain distress ink and used a TCW stencil for some texture. I also used some papers from the Spring Flowers Collection to embellish.

For my second tag I once again reinforced my tag with some chipboard. I had this chipboard frame from an earlier release and I felt it coordinated beautifully with one of the Spring Flowers papers. I altered it using some embossing powder.

I used a combination of blooms and lace to add a vintage feel to this tag.
Using the ticket labels also adds to the vintage feel of the tag. I used foam tape to adhere
it to the tag for extra dimension.

Supplies:

Paper: Art Tags, Spring Flowers
Other: TCW Mini ledger, Distress Ink Walnut Stain, Modelling Paste, Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, Lindy's Stamp Gang Midnight Bronze Embossing Powder, Doily, Chipboard Frame, Flowers

Just Because

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a great week. Lately I have found that I have lost my mojo....burnt out. No motivation whatsoever. Should be thinking about things for school (new grade), making craft projects as I have free time being on school holidays but NOPE.... nothing....zilch...a big fat ZERO. The end of last year was so busy....so many deadlines, my time was dictated to the minute in order to get everything finished, then I had to host Christmas and you get the picture rush rush rush.

In order to break my cycle I brought out the markers, popped on some tunes on Spotify and started to colour. It seems to be therapy for me. I made two cards as a result. I think the drought is starting to crack. I have made a card that is not my usual style but it was just created for enjoyment.

I stamped my images and heat embossed using white embossing powder. I then used Zig Markers to colour my images in. I used some cardstock as borders and that is all.

Supplies:

Stamps: Altenew Beautiful Day, Hero Arts Many Messages, My Favourite Things Distressed Patterns

Ink: Versafine Onyx Black

Markers: Zig Markers Deep Red 260, Pale Rose 230, May Green 047, Green 040

Dies: Altenew Beautiful Day Dies

Other: Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, Bristol Smooth Paper, Darice Crystal Cup Sequins

Thank You

Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying the long weekend! Today I am sharing a card that I have made using some stamps ans watercolour markers. As it is the start of the school holidays (YAH!!) I always take the opportunity to work on some techniques and create something. Usually it involves colouring as it is a skill I enjoy v=but need to keep working at perfecting.

In my head I planned this card and nearly threw it out when I die cut my elements, however once I added my sentiment it came together! I used a Prima background stamp and stamped it onto kraft cardstock to create a vintage look.

I stamped some Altenew flowers and leaves and coloured them in using Zig markers and a waterbrush pen. I die cut them out using the coordintaing dies, but trimmed some of the excess of with my scissors. In the end, I am happy with how the card turned out and glad it didn't end up in the bin!

Supplies:

Stamps: Altenew Peony Scroll, Simon Says Stamp Handwritten Borders, Prima 5 x 7 Cling Stamp Texture

Ink: Distress Ground Espresso, Versamark, Versafine Onyx Black

Markers: Zig Markers Persian Green 033, Emerald Green 048 and Green 040

Paper: Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstck, Kraft and Kaisercraft Cardpack C6 Black

Other: Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, Nuvo Glitter Accents Fresh Snowfall, Altenew Peony Scroll Coordinating Die, Pentel Water Brush
