#blessed

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing another layout which is for an album that I am making for my cousin of his lovely twin boys. It's amazing how quickly they grow...they are 23 weeks old so I need to keep moving so I don't fall too far behind. I am using Pion Design papers for this layout....a collection that I've hoarded for ages and it seemed a perfect match for this photo.

I distressed all of my edges an inked them using Gathered Twigs distress ink. I also added foam tape behind one of the photo layers so that I could tuck in some embellishments that I fussy cut from the papers.

My title is from Dusty Attic. I used gesso to alter it. The frame is a from Scrapmatts and I painted it with gesso then used 13 Arts mist to paint it using a paint brush, then I dabbed off some of the mist with a paper towel to add some texture.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The tiny blue ones I have had for a very long time and they coordinate perfectly with the papers. It really pays off to dig deep into your supplies...it's amazing to find your hidden treasures!

Supplies:

Paper: Pion Design Vintage Garden Collection Blue Ornament, Flax and Borders and Tags sheets

Stamps: Bobunny Midnight Frost Clears Stamps

Ink: Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, Ranger Archival Jet Black

Other: Scrapmatts Flourishes 05 and Ornate Frames 17, Dusty Attic Hashtag Sayings #1, Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers, Lace, Flat Back Pearls, Twine, Lace Doily, 13 Arts Pastel Blue mist, Liquitex gesso, Elizabeth Craft Curvy Leaves.

The Easter Bunny Is Here

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing the first of two posts that feature some felt plushie toys that I have made over the school holidays. As you can see, the Easter Bunny AKA Plush Liam from Memory Box has bounced into my home!

This plushie was very simple to make. It comes with a carrot. I used a copic marker to colour the cheeks and ears. I also used some Doodlebug Designs black sprinkles for the eyes.

I will share my next round of plushies very soon!

Flamingo Wreath Card

Hello everyone! I hope that you had a lovely Easter with your loved ones. Today I am sharing a card with you that was a birthday card that I made for someone who absolutely loves flamingos! I also dug deep into my stash to create the floral wreath which frames it as well.

I started my wreath by using a circular stamp and then I pulled out any floral and foliage stamps that I owned and stamped away. It was very easy to do once I had found the stamps that I needed. I used a wink of stella clear pen to highlight some of the flowers in the wreath.

Supplies:

Stamp: Hero Arts Color Layering Flamingo and Die

Paper: Strathmore Smooth

Dies: My Favourite Things Single Stitch Line Rectangle Frames

Ink: Flamingo Hero Arts Soft Pink, Soft Blossom and Ultra Pink
Wreath: Gero Arts Green Hills, Grape Juice, Field Greens, Soft Blossom, Ultra Pink, Altenew Warm Sunshine

Other: MISTI, Wink Of Stella Clear, Foam Tape

Stamps: 49 and Market Gabi's Circle Stitch Stamp Set, Stampin' Up! Vintage Vogue and Baroque motifs, Grant Archival Christina Re, Design a Flower set Practical Publishing

Peony Scrolls using Tombow Markers

Hello everyone! I am so thrilled to be on school holidays, resting up and catching up on the the errands etc that need to be done. I also have felt the urge for stamping and watercolouring. I was waiting for some special paper to arrive in the mail so I could try my new watercolour pens and I love them!

I used Altenew's Peony Scrolls stamp set and watercoloured them using Tombow markers. I stamped the flowers and leaves using Versamark ink several times onto Strathmore smooth white paper and heat embossed them using Hero Arts white embossing powder. I used a watercolor brush and the Tombow markers to colour the flowers and leaves.
The Strathmore paper is also great for backgrounds using Distress ink. I had no problems using my ink blending tool at all! I arranged my flowers and leaves and either used glue or foam tape to add some dimension to my composition.

Supplies:

Stamp: Altenew Peony Scrolls Stamps and matching die

Paper: Stathmore Smooth

Tombow Markers: Pink 723, Green 133 and 195

Ink: Distress Ink Tumbled Glass

Other: My Favourite Things Single Stitch Line Rectangle Frames, Foam Tape, Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix Sequins

Easter Card ~ Meg's Garden ~

Hello everyone. Easter is on its way. I was so inspired by the beautiful new collection from Meg's Garden White Flowers on Green to create an Easter card.

I have used three papers to create my base. The papers compliment each other beautifully. I started with a 6 inch square and decreased each layer by a 1/4 of an inch before adhering with thick adhesive foam. I fussy cut this butterfly from one of the ephemera pages. My sentiment is stamped and heat embossed on vellum.

The ribbon and lace create a shabby chic/vintage look to a card which I love. These are available from Meg's Garden. The floral vine was fussy cut from one of the ephemera pages. The chippies are from my stash.

I used a combination of green and white flowers to complete my card.

Supplies from Meg's Garden:
Ribbons and Lace

Other:
Ink: Distress Ink Pumice Stone
Chipboard Scrapinec 3949 and 3556

Flowers Prima Salvage District #586423, The Scrapbook Store paper Daisies

Other: Morgan and Finch buds, We R Memory Keepers punch, 1/2 inch punch, Hero Arts White Embossing powder, Stampin' Up Teeny Tiny Sentiments Clear Vellum.
