Watercolouring

This is my second month of having a blog. I am going to attempt to add projects I have completed prior to creating Sew Creative. After seeing in so many magazines cards completed using copic markers I thought they looked interesting. I had already purchased some Stampin’ Up markers and decided that I would give watercolouring a try.

Watercolouring Technique:
  1. Select a piece of watercolour paper.
  2. Stamp image using Stazon black ink.
  3. Press the closed lid of a Classic Stampin' Pad down against the ink pad, creating a small pool of colour in the lid; then open the lid. (If you don’t have Stampin’ Up ink pads, dap an aqua painter/blender pen along the edge of an ink pad).
  4. Use a blender pen, an Aqua Painter, or a damp watercolor brush to lift the ink from the lid and apply to the stamped image.
  5. Start from a stamped line, then work away from it. This creates the dark and light shades.
  6. For small areas, I just used the marker to colour these sections.
