Cameo Card

Hello everyone! I have another card to share with you as a GDT with The Shabby Tea Room. The theme for Week #153 is ‘Sweet Silhouettes’ You are asked to create a card/project using a silhouette as your focal point!

Lucky for me I have a few silhouette stamps! For my card I wanted something elegant with a nice frame. A little while ago, on impulse I purchased a number of silver frames and finally have had the chance to use them. After stamping my silhouette I used one to frame it. I die cut a square frame to help define my silhouette. After I did this, I played around with some bling. I used a corner flourish and then added some flowers, bow, pin and my sentiment.

I just love it when a card comes together, sometimes I really struggle to materialise what I imagine.

Supplies:

Paper: Kaisercraft After Five Collection paper pad

Stamp: Waltzingmouse Cameo To Go

Ink: Memento Tuxedo black

Other: Spellbinders classic ovals small and marvelous squares, Cre8tiv ornamental frames, Zva Creative pearls, Basic Grey pin, Hooked on Craft flowers, Green tara flowers, bow.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pretty Cameo

Hello everyone. Todays card is probably my last for the year with more to follow of course. I have selected a sketch from The Sketchy Challenges to follow.

I have had a Spellbinders die (still in the packet) waiting for the right moment to be used. When I found this sketch I knew it would be perfect. The die is of course the marvelous squares die.

I decided that I wanted to go with pink. I road tested some of my inks and found one which worked well with my papers (unfortunately it has photographed paler than what it actually is). I stamped and layered all with various Spellbinder dies. I created a bow and added some flowers.

Supplies:

Stamp: Waltzingmouse Stamps Cameo To Go and Florentine Frippery

Ink: Momento Angel Pink

Paper: Stampin' Up! Whisper White and Pastel Basics paper pack

Other:

Spellbinders nestabilities classic ovals large, floral ovals and marvelous squares, Hooked on Craft flowers, Kaisercraft pearls and ribbon.

Cameo

Hello everyone. I am sharing a card that I have made following a sketch from Waltzingmouse Stamps.

I went for a pink colour pallet, one that I'm drawn to in cards.

For the main image, I wanted to use a cameo. I layered it with a Spellbinders frame, then stamped a label frame to add behind it. I love the swirls in the Florentine frippery an thought that it would compliment the cameo. I added some flowers and of course another Spellbinders frame.

I used a different glue to layer my papers. Am not happy with how it turned out. So I will be frantically searching on line today to find Zip Dry paper glue to stock up, which is my trusted glue that I usually use.

Supplies:

Paper: Glitz Design Pretty in Pink, Stampin' Up! cardstock

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps Florentine Frippery and Cameo to Go

Ink: Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo, Distress Ink Old Paper

Other: Spellbinders nestabilities classic ovals large and floral ovals, Spellbinders twisted metal tags and accents, Hooked on Craft flowers and leaves, lace.

Beautifully Shaped

Hi everyone. Last night I finished my maths comments and had time to create a card. The card I created is for the latest Shabby Tea Room Challenge 'Beautifully Shaped.' For this challenge you need to create  a SHAPED card or project that is also inspired by THE COLORS IN THE PHOTO!  This week we're looking for 'shaped' cards -- NO squares or rectangles this week, please!
I have never completed such a card and thought it would be really difficult. I found a template and then it started from there.

After tracing and cutting out the shabby dresser template, I used distress ink to edge the card. I then applied more distress ink to disguise the white background. I cut two rectangles from some floral background paper. inked the edges and applied to the background. I used some Spellbinders dies and pearls to add the accents to create the drawer fronts.

I used a different floral paper to complete the dresser. It is a semi cloud type shape. I inked it and added it to the background.

To create the mirror of the dresser, I used my latest Spellbinders die and teamed it with this lovely cameo stamp. To add some of the colours from the inspiration picture, I used flowers to fulfill this criteria.
Some lace, a key and a stamped sentiment finish my card.

Supplies:

Paper: Nitwit Collection Thimbles'n'threads

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps Cameo To Go

Ink: Distress Ink tattered Rose, Colorbox Chalk Ink Rose Coral

Other: Spellbinders Nestabilities classic ovals small and floral ovals, Spellbinders Shapeabilities fancy tags, Hooked on Craft flowers, Kaisercraft flowers and pearls, Bow easy, lace, card template

Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone. I’m back again and am sharing my latest take on the Waltzingmouse challenge.

I am also including this card in another challenge with Hooked on Craft which asks for a project to have more than one fold. Immediately I knew that I wanted to create an easel card.

I used the cameo stamp to create part of the main focal image. I used a wooden ornate frame to complete it teamed with the some die cut elements. I also masked the journal stamp from the Victorian Frippery stamp set to use the image as a border stamp.

I stamped a sentiment from the Fancy Phrases set onto another die cut.

 Another view of the card.

Another example of the Victorian frippery stamp used as a border stamp.

Supplies:

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps Cameo to Go, Victorian Frippery and Fancy Phrases.

Ink: Versafine onyx black, Distress ink Old linen

Paper: Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings and vanilla weave

Other: Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings collectables, wood flourish frame, mini paper bloom and pearls, Green tara flowers, Spellbinders Nestabilities classic ovals small.

Thanks for stopping by!

For You

Hi everyone. This weekend I have been on a roll. I have managed to complete three craft projects! My latest project which I am going to share is the WMSC #86. This card was trial and error with a surprise along the way!

I decided that I would use a cameo as the main focal image and layer it with a Spellbinders die.

When I die cut two potential dies and placed them against the background paper, they faded away into the background.
I added a paper doily and that dramatically changed the look of the cameo. I road tested both Spellbinders dies with the doily and it just didn't seem to look right. I then layered them together and presto! Perfect!

I finished the card with a bow and a tag.

Supplies:

Paper: Kaisercraft Chapter One 6 ½” paper pad, black cardstock

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Cameo to Go

Ink: Stampin’ Up basic black

Other: Spellbinders Shapeabilities Fancy Tags two and fancy Tags Three, Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic ovlas large, Hooked on Craft trinket pin, pearl brad, Fiskars 1.5” tage punch, ribbon, Bow easy, paper doily.

Together

Hi everyone. I just love the new Kaisercraft Collection These Days. I just adore vintage feel papers and this collection achieves this. I wanted to try to incorporate stripes into this layout as well as it tends to be something I avoid!

Here I incorporated die cut elements with some paper flowers. This too was something I wanted to try.

I applied crackle paint, then lighted applied some distress ink to created an aged look.

Nothing says vintage than a cameo trinket.
Supplies:
Paper: Kaisercraft These Days papers, 6 ½” paper pad and collectables
Ink: Distress Ink antique linen
Other: Kaisercraft fozz fontz, 2crafty chipboard, Prima siip swirls, Green Tara flowers, Prima love letters roses peridot, Bobunny trinket, Spellbinders Shapeabilities Fleur De Lis motifs, Ranger distress crackle paint picket fence, Kaiser pearls.

Valentines Card

Hello everyone I was thrilled to have been a top mouse for the last sketch challenge. For this weeks sketch, I knew immediately that I wanted to make a round easel card.

Using the largest Spellbinders Nestability scalloped circles die, I die cut my easel pieces. Next I selected the largest Spellbinders Nestability circle die to die cut the main papers for my card.
Using one of the Victorian Frippery stamps, I stamped and embossed a piece of cardstock. I then used a heart punch, added a eyelet to create a pendant.

I stamped a sentiment from the Cameo to Go stamp set and created a simple tag to add to the flower.

To create the stop for the easel base, I selected the cameo from the Oval Classic Frames set. I applied foam tape to add some dimension.

Supplies:

Paper: Prima Romantique paper pad, DCWV paper pad

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps Oval Classic Frames, Cameo to Go and Victorian Frippery.

Ink: Stampin’ Up pretty in pink and soft suede, Versamark

Other: Spellbinders Nestabilities lacey circles, petite scalloped circles large, standard circles large, Vivaldi blossom, Kaisercraft pearls, Stampin’ Up white embossing powder, Fiskars 1.5” tag punch, 1” circle punch, heart punch, lace, pink ribbon, eyelets, string.

The card I am sharing is my interpretation of the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. When I saw the circular motif I knew it was an opportunity to use the cameo stamps that I had purchased.

Following the blue and white theme, I embossed the sentiment and added pearls to finish it off.

Ink: Stampin’ Up Baja Breeze
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Cameo To Go, Vintage Label 10 and Fancy Phrases

Other: Spellbinders Nestabiities Labels ten, Classic Ovals large, Spellbinders Shapeabilities Standard Tag, Kaisercraft pearls, lace, blue ribbon, Stampin’ Up emboss white.
