Best Friends Forever

Hello everyone. I am sharing with you a card that I have made using JustRite stamps. The latest challenge from JustRite Stampers is 'Anything Goes.' You are asked to create something with one of your FAVORITE stamp set(s) and tell us WHY it is your favorite.

I have slowly been building a collection of JustRite stamps and am really drawn to their versatililty in being able to combine different sets within a project. I also like the fact that they are compatible with Spellbinders dies. I love shabby chic/vintage designs and JustRite have so many sets that offer the possibility to create such cards/projects. To decide which set/s was my favourite was difficult. After having a look at my cards, I looked at what stamp sets I have used a lot in my cards and I discovered that it was in fact was the Vintage Ovals Labels and Heart to Heart sets. You can combine the older sets with the newer sets so easily.

Supplies:

Stamp: JustRite Stampers Heart to Heart set and Vintage Ovals Labels

Ink: Stampin' Up! baja brezze, Versfine onyx black

Paper: Kaisercraft Le Chateau Collection

Other: Spellbinders nestabilities labels thirteen and classic ovals large, Zva Creative pearls, Kaisercraft paper bloom, Stampin' Up! baja breeze seam binding, Hooked on Craft trinket pin, lace.

Thanks for stopping by!

Exploding Box and Card

Hello everyone! I am so excited as I am the Guest Designer for January in The Shabby Tea Room. The theme for this week is 'Elegance.' You are asked to create a card/project inspired by the colours in the picture and to include a ribbon and a bow.

For my project, I really wanted to explore the concept of gift and I wanted to have a go at creating an exploding box. I went on the internet and found a lovely quote which is inside the box.
“I don’t know what’s in the box, but I love it. Unopened gifts contain hope.

― Jarod Kintz, This Book Title is Invisible

I continued the gift box theme inside. The template I used is from Jinky's Crafts. At first when I saw the inspiration photo I thought the boxes were cakes! Oops! Never mind, it will be used one day.

I bought some inexpensive ring boxes from a discount store and altered them. They fit perfectly inside the box. I had some overhead projector sheets which I cut and attached the butterflies to them using glue dots (this will work with left over packaging from pearls, rhinestones etc).

The card consists of some die cuts, layered with foam tape to add dimension. Here are some other close ups of the project/card....

Supplies:

Paper: Stampin' Up! whisper white and bashful blue, Grace Taylor Vintage collection

Other: Spellbinders nestabilities classic ovals large, floral ovals, fleur de lis squares, marvelous squares, classic squares small and butterflies, Memory Box Amira floursh and Quinn flourish, Hooked on Craft flowers and trinket pin, Becca's peg bow maker, Kaisercraft pearls, Vivaldi flower, Martha Stewart monarch butterfly punch, ring boxes.

I hope that you'll give this a try!
