Hello everyone! I am sharing a card with you that follows the latest sketch from JustRite Stampers. For my design I wanted to have some embossing and to have a break from pink, just to shake things up a little bit!
To create my background, I embossed some cardstock. Using a brayer I inked it up with white ink to highlight the raised designs. I used two different stamp sets to create my centre focal point. I used some foam tape to add dimension to my layers.
To create my border, I used a border stamp and inked it with Versa Mark then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I played around with some Martha Stewart punches and ended up using my flower bed punch. I punched along the edge of one side as usual. Once finished I measured how deep the punch was which is 3cm. Then on the other side I measured 3cm from the edge and cut it before I punched again. This created a lovely border which I attached to my stamped border.
I stamped a sentiment onto some cardstock and heat embossed it then used a die to cut it out. A bow, some ribbon and flowers complete my card. I then decided to add a butterfly to the centre of my card using some left over cardstock...nothing goes to waste!
Supplies:
Paper: Stampin' Up! Whisper White and Pool Party
Stamp: JustRite classic scallop borders one, Vintage oval labels and Fleur de Lis labels twenty
Ink: Stampin' Up! Pool Party, Whisper White and Versa Mark
Other: Spellbinders edgeabilities classic scallop, nestabilities labels thirteen and labels twenty, Spellbinders M-bossabilities Garden Lattice, Martha Stewart deep edge flower bed and monarch butterfly punches, JustRite vintage label and banner dies, Stampin' Up! white embossing powder, ribbon, Green Tara flowers, Becca's Peg Bow Maker.
