Happy Birthday

Hello! The card I am sharing with you is another birthday card. I have a few birthdays at the moment and need to make a stash of them! I am also using some new craft supplies for the first time which I am excited about. My card follows the sketch from The Sweet Stop.

I have actually flipped the sketch to create my card.

I was excited to use a new Spellbinders die, a gorgeous decorative labels die. I I stamped my sentiment and built up my layers from there, using foam tape between each layer of cardstock. I also used a Spellbinders impressability for one half of the card. It is a lovely fleur de lis design which I love. I also like to incorporate bows onto my cards and so I used my Becca's Bow maker to create my double bow.

Supplies:

Paper: pink gingham, Stampin' Up! cardstock

Stamps: Waltzingmouse tamps vintage labels one, French Country and Say It Loud

Ink: Versa Magic pink petunia

Other: Spellbinders impressabilities, Spellbinders nestabilities labels one and decorative labels one, Spellbinders shapeabilities fleur de lis accents, Becca's Bow Maker, pink ginham ribbon and pink ribbon.

Side step card

Hello everyone. I am sharing with a card that I have made for The Shabby Tea Room challenge. This week the theme is 'Pretty Party'.  You are asked to create a card or project inspired by the photo USING PINK AND GREEN PLUS FLOWERS!

I had in mind a paper collection I already had and love, Kaisercraft English Roses. It has a lot of green/pink papers that would be perfect for this challenge.

I made a side step card this week. I followed a tutorial from Splitcoaststampers which you can find here.

For my first side tier, I added a few flowers along with a die cut flourish. Behind it in tier two, I stamped and die cut a sentiment. I replaced the sentiment with a tag as I plan to give this card to my sister for her birthday.

For my third tier, I die cut and embossed a Spellbinders butterfly along with a circular flourish die. I off set the flourish so that things would line up when looking at the card from the front.

A small arrangement of flowers were added along with a flourish to the main side of the card. I wanted the papers to reveal the floral pattern so I left it bare.

Supplies:

Paper: Kaisercraft English Rose 6" paper pad, Stampin' Up! cardstock

Ink: Versa Magic pink petunia, Versfine vintage sepia, Distress ink worn lipstick

Stamps: JustRite stampers You're so Sweet and Just Because set

Other: Die-namics vintage flourish, Spellbinders shapeabilities butterflies, Spellbinders nestabilities circles large, Memory Box Quinn flourish, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Liquid pearls bisque, Hooked on Craft flowers.

Birthday Banner Card

Hello everyone. I am sharing with you a birthday card that I have just made. I am entering it into two challenges. The colour inspiration came from the Shabby Tea Room challenge.

You are asked to create a card or project inspired by the COLORS IN THE PHOTO PLUS INCLUDE LACE, FABRIC AND A BUTTON!

The design follows the sketch from The Sweet Stop

I really like banners at the moment and I thought that this sketch was perfect for me.

Originally, I wanted to create a fabric flower. My plan didn't work so I created a lace rosette. To create this, simply sew a running stitch along the edge of the lace and pull it tight. Simple and effective!
I altered the corner section of the sketch. I used some banners and attached a flower and some seam binding.

Supplies:

Paper: Stampin' Up! cardstock, Adrienne Looman Victoria digi kit

Ink: Distress ink old paper and walnut stain

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps Fancy Phrases

Other: Lace, Stampin' Up! seam binding, button, Hooked on Craft flower

Thanks for stopping by!

So Charming

Hello everyone! I have been trying to add my post for a little while this evening but Blogger was not being very co-operative! I am sharing with you a card that I have made for the JustRite Friday Challenge #081 - "Charm Me". For this challenge, you need to add a charm.

My card is based around my papers, and in particular this gorgeous ballerina image. Purple is not one of top colour choices, but I gave it a go! I used the frame stamp from the Easter Blessings set and used the nested medallion to cut and emboss it. I layered all with foam tape and attached it to the Spellbinders floral ovals frame.

I used a sentiment from You're So Sweet set and placed a silver butterfly charm to it. I also inked the edges to give it a vintage feel.

Supplies:

Stamps: JustRite Stampers Easter Blessings and You're So Sweet set

Ink: Stampin' Up perfect plum, Distress ink walnut stain

Paper: Stampin' Up cardstock, Prima Fairy Belle 6" paper stack

Other: Spellbinders nestabilities floral ovals, classic ovals small, standard circles small, JustRite nested oval medallion, Hooked on Craft flowers, Prima rose, lace, butterfly charm.

Let's Celebrate - Paper House Box

Hello everyone. I am sharing a project that I have completed for the Shabby Tea Room Labor of Love challenge. For this challenge you are asked to create a card or project inspired by the COLORS IN THE PHOTO and INCLUDE A BANNER!

Labor day is not celebrated in Australia, so I did a little bit of research. I read that there are lots of decorations and parades on this day. I felt that from the inspiration photo, I would decorate the front of a house and have a house card as my submission....well I got a little bit carried away and created a house instead! I stamped a sentiment and die cut a fancy tag and placed it above the door with some foam tape. The scroll adds a nice touch to the front of the house.

I have a range of digital papers that include a wood styled background paper, perfect for a paper house. I die cut some shapes to create the windows. I also printed a selection of  digital papers and cut our fishtail banners from these.

Supplies:

Paper House template: House of Cards

Paper: Brandy Murray Back Porch kit, DCWV neutral stack, 4th July freebie, Retro Zing red, white and blue papers

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Oval classic frames, JustRite Stampers Just Because set

Ink: Distress ink walnut stain and old paper

Other: Spellbiinders shapeabilities fancy tags, Spellbinders nestabilities classic squares small, circles small and rectangles small, Hooked on Craft flowers, Martha Stewart branch punch , My Minds Eye twine, Die-namics woodgrain fence, Stampin' Up punch.

Z Fold Card

Hello everyone. Today I am sharing with you a z fold card that I created for the JustRite Stampers latest challenge. For this challenge you are asked to create a card with "More Than One Fold".

I have seen a few versions of the z fold card, and this was a design that I prefered. To create this card I followed a tutorial posted on Sweet Designs by Cheryl. She has some written instructions and a video tutorial to follow.

The instructions are very clear. My only advice is to use repositional tape as you cut each of your patterned papers and cardstock for layering as you can easily make a mistake! I applied repositional tape and placed each piece in the correct position as I went. I was going to apply a strong adhesive but decided against it until my layout was complete for each section.

Here are some close ups of each of the panels...

Front panel....

Inside panels....

The back panel.....
There is a insert to the back panel for a special message. I stuck a flower a flower at the top of this to act as a type of tab/pull.

Supplies:

Stamps: JustRite Stampers Vintage Labels and Friendship Blooms

Ink: Distressed ink walnut stain and old paper

Paper: Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden, Stampin' Up! cardstock, DCWV neutral stack

Other: Spellbinders Nestabilities classic ovals large, floral ovals, classic squares small, scalloped squares small and labels six, Spellbinders Shapeabilities butterflies,  Die-namics fancy flourish and leafy flourish, Martha Stewart branch punch, Kaisercraft Madame Boutique die cut and paper blooms, Hooked on Craft flowers, Ruby Rock-It floral, paper doily, seam binding, liquid pearls bisque

It's The Little Things

Hi everyone! I am back with a card I have just made for The Shabby Tea Room Summer Cottage Challenge. You are asked to create a card or project inspired by the COLORS from the photo and INCLUDE DISTRESSING/SHABBY ELEMENTS plus a TITLE/SENTIMENT!

For this card, I used digital patterned papers by Adrienne Looman. I have had my eye on this collection for a little while and downloaded it and some of the embellishments. I just love the shabby chic/vintage feel from this range. I distressed and inked the patterned papers and sewed around the edge of my main paper. For the other paper layers, I inked to create the vintage look.

I printed an embellishment from the digital kit and stamped my sentiment onto it. At work at the moment we have been discussing just how busy we all are and seem to forget about the little things. We have been saying how must take time to smell the flowers!
I die cut a flourish, added flowers and die cut a butterfly. Am loving using wax paper with intricate dies, it really is like magic!

Well I hope that you too will take the time to smell the flowers!

Supplies:

Paper: Kaisercraft ballet, Stampin' Up! old olive and very vanilla, Adrienne Looman Victoria digital paper pack and embellishments

Stamps: Our Daily Bread Design Little Things

Ink: Distress ink old paper and walnut stain

Other: Die-namics flourish, Memory Box Kaleidoscope butterfly, Prima distressing tool, liquid pearls petal pink, Hooked on Craft flowers.

Thanks for stopping by!
