Just For You

Hello everyone! I am back again with another card. It follows the current sketch from Cardabilities.

My card began with the papers. I pulled out anything that coordinated with the pink from the Prima Tea Thyme collection and I went from there. The beauty of paper pads is that everything coordinates!

When I started my card, I distressed the edges and then inked them up. I tried a new technique shown by Gabrielle Pollacco, of drawing back the edges of your paper. If you'd like to give it a try, click on the link to her tutorial here.

For my centre focal point, I layered some Spellbinder dies with foam tape. The centre piece of some of the die cuts also feature the background paper.

I used a Stampin' Up banner punch to create the bunting. I inked the edges to add that shabby look.

I used a filigree butterfly with some bling flourishes. I went to a craft fair yesterday and to my delight found the seller of these gorgeous creations! I had bought some last year from a local scrapbook store and had nearly run out. They are found at Art Stamps Australia.

Next time you see my cards for Cardabilities, it will be as a Design Team member. I look forward in sharing my creations with you!

Don't forget you have until March 13, 2013 to link your project to be considered as a Featured Designer!
