'Tis the Season ~ Christmas Card

 

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing a Christmas card that I have made...last minute. I always think that I have enough made in my stash..but I don't! So I am making cards from products that I have in my stash which is very satisfying.

I am using products from an older Kaisercraft kit that was released a few years ago when I was on their Design Team. It has a vintage feel which is my favourite type of product to create with. I used foliage from my stash to frame the image of Santa and die cut some foliage to add extra dimension. I also inked the edges with some Distress ink.

I really enjoyed creating this card and will make another card using more products from this kit.

Thinking of You

 

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. I really enjoyed the results of my last card and thought that I would again mix the old product with the new and made another card. I think that if you a design that works, create with it and make more cards while the creative streak is going!

I kept the basic frame design the same, but changed the focal area of my card. I had ordered from Spellbinders, the Four Petal Thank You Floral set. I used some Kaisercraft cardstock, added a butterfly and sentiment to finish my card.

Creating Bulk Christmas Cards

 

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a lovely week. I needed to create some cards for my colleagues at work, so that meant bulk cards. I grabbed the possible supplies that I might use and began. It was great to use some supplies that had been in my stash for such a long time and had not been used. What I came up with was:

- a stamped background

- foiled sentiments that can change

- pearls/rhinestones that can be changed

- focal die cut

- ink blending

- layered mats

- premade card base and envelopes

- bulk cards planned DONE.

From my plan, the design was set but the option to personalise was there. Simple! I am so happy with this card design. I will share another post where I have a part two of this design where I add to this for a second bulk design using some oldie but goodie supplies.

Baby Card

 

Hello everyone! It has been a little while since I have posted. I have been busy and have neglected my blog and social media as a result. I have been creating in the background, but projects that take a bit more time and I will be sharing those soon. But today I am sharing a card that I made for grade partner who had a baby girl a few months ago. Of course I went with the vintage style which I love.

I used Maja Design papers and I used some die cuts to decorate along with some coordinating blooms from my stash. She loved the card and placed it the nursery.

Christmas Eve

To be honest, I have been in a craft slump as the teacher tired EOY fatigue has well and truly set in and the craft MOJO left the building, so this will be a warm up to craft again.

Kindness

Hello everyone! Happy September to you and Happy Father's Day to all in Australia.  Every now and then, I pull out some stamps and colour, for relaxation and also to practise techniques. I had finished this card a few weeks ago, but felt it needed 'something.' I added some extra flowers and now I am satisfied.

I have had this Kaisercraft clear stamp in my stash for a long time. I bought it specifically for colouring practise. I used copic markers and then I masked my image and used distress ink to blend around the background.

I used some dies to create the branch, flowers and leaves for the owl.

Gypsy Rose Cards

Hello everyone! School is back and I have been very busy getting things started. I had a lovely break but cannot believe how quickly the holidays went. I have been struggling to get back into a routine and am implementing new things into my classroom and of course it all takes time! Anyway, right before this month is over I am sharing the last of my Gypsy Rose projects which are two cards. They are featured in the July magazine.

I have really enjoyed creating the boho inspired projects which this collection enables.

Kid's Room Decor Projects

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing some room decor ideas. Over on the Kaisercraft blog, the DT are sharing some ideas for kid's room decor and I had so many! I was really inspired by the boho papers from this months paper collections (which I love) and I have also used the boho theme in my classroom this year, so I was really excited to create in this way again.

I created my own template using Silhouette Studio so that I could easily cut and layer all of my paper pieces and position everything into place.

My first project is the hot air balloon which is based around an embroidery hoop and can easily be displayed on the wall or on an easel as shown.

I then decided to alter some wooden cubes. I mixed some paints to create my base colour before cutting my papers and gluing them on. I fussy cut the animals and used alpha stickers and each cube face. These two projects would be great in a little boys room.
