Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone. I am loving being on holidays! I have been able to accomplish so much. I managed to finish my quilt top yesterday and am considering machine quilting it myself.
The card I am sharing with you today follows the WMSC92 and the colours follow palette #105 from the Color Room.

The papers actually are more blue than in the photos. This was an interesting colour palette to work with as I don't tend to use yellow in projects.
Supplies:
Paper: My Minds Eye Miss Caroline, DCWV pastels and neutrals
Ink: Distress ink Antique Linine, Versafine Vintage Sepia
Stamp: Waltzingmouse Fancy Phrases
Other: Spellbinders Nestabilities fleur de lis rectangles and classic rectangles large, Spellbinders Shapeabilities Fancy Tags 2, Want 2 Scrap nestabling fancy tags 2, Kaisercraft mini paper blooms buttercream and iceberg, Stampin” Up banner punch.

Beautiful Day

Hi everyone. This layout is one that I had fun doing. My siblings know that the original version of this photo looked a little bit different (slight change to the background).

I die cut the flourishes then inked them both with distress stain.

I repeated the corner flourish. I fussy cut some butterflies to finish things off.

Supplies:

Paper: Websters Pages Lullaby Lane, Your Life and DCWV pastels

Ink: Versa colour umber, Distress ink Tattered Rose, Distress Stain Picket Fence.

Other: Martha Stewart eyelet lace punch, Hooked on Craft flowers, Prima flowers, Prima alphabet stichers, paper doily, Die-namics fancy flourish die, Prima craft knife, Prima distressing tool, Distrezz it all.

Lovely

Todays card is based upon the Scrapbook Boutique March challenge.

Create a project based on the photo inspiration and include at least one handmade flower.

I used a Spellbinders die to create a flower using a coordinating paper.

I fussy cut the sentiment and layered it with a stamped image. Each layer was constructed using foam tape, to add dimension.

Supplies:

Paper: DCWV Whimsy Stack and Brights

Other: Versafine deep lagoon, JustRite Friendship blooms, Spellbinders Nestabilities labels 13 and picot edge circles, Spellbinders Shapeabilities fleur de lis accents, Spellbinders Rose Creations.

Kaisercraft #4 December Saturday Sketch

I’ve been scrapbooking for a little while now and in that time I didn’t follow sketches. I’m a convert, I love them! I have decided that I need to start using up my supplies and sketches are a fabulous way to achieve this.

The layout that I’ve completed is the Kaisercraft #4 Saturday sketch.

My interpretation of the sketch:

To create the circular frame, cut a 7 ½” inch circle from the chipboard using the curvy cutter. Cut a 7” circle to create a circular frame. Using the chipboard select the Spellbinders Shapeabilities dies to cut 4 fleur de lis motifs and four fancy tags. Ink the die cut shapes as well as the frame using antique linen, then apply the creme de chocolate followed by iridescent gold glimmer mists.

Once dry glue the fleur de lis die cuts in the NESW positions on the frame. Cut the end of each of the die cut tags. The lace work is glued underneath the circular frame, evenly spaced between the fleur de lis motifs.

These flowers were created using the Spellbinders Shapeabilities spiral blossom one die using Devonshire - Clarabelle paper.

Supplies I used:
Paper: Kaisercraft Devonshire Collection - Clarabelle, Victorian Rose, Aurora, Devonshire Collection 6” paper pad
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink antique linen, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Crème de Chocolate, iridescent gold
Embellishments: Kaisercraft Paper blooms sea breeze, mini paper blooms olive, Kaiserscrapbook wood flourishes, Spellbinders Shapeabilities Fleur de Lis motifs, Spellbinders Shapeabilities Fancy Tags, Spellbinders Shapeabilities spiral blossom one, Sizzix Sizzlits little leaves, Kaisercraft alpha chipboard, chipboard, olive green cardstock, EK Success Curvy Cutter Circle template set.

Thanks for looking!
