Plush Ornaments

Hello everyone! I hope that the week has been a positive one. Here are the last of my plush felt ornaments. I have a felt deer and gingerbread boy. The gingerbread boy of part of the new Spellbinders Collection. I felt proud of myself when stitching this one as I had to stitch quite a few French knots!

I have had this die in my stash and haven't had a chance to stitch it yet. It was fairly easy. Love the glue!

Here are ALL of my completed plushies. Each year, I plan to add more. I also hope to add some cross stitch pillows in there as well.

Supplies:

Simon Says Stamp Plush Deer, Spellbinders Felt Stitch and Create Gingerbread Boy and Girl.

Plush Ornaments

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. I am behind with my posting of completed projects as I have been busy making last minute cards as well as trying to get my last minute shopping for Christmas in. It's very busy! I have enjoyed my stitching and have made even more plush ornaments.

I have had this die for a while, so it was great to bring it out again. I have used it as gifts for others, but not for myself. I plan to display them in a basket (will share in a later post).

This is another die that I have had for a while. It is great to reimagine with different coloured felt!

Supplies:

Felt Snowman and Candy Cane Ornaments

Hello everyone! I hope that your week has been a great one so far. I have been on a roll with my stitching. I have purchased some dies from Spellbinders and I am so glad to have the time to stitch them. So far, I have made two from the release.

I plan to have my ornaments in a Christmas basket so I am not hanging mine. I followed the tutorial and made some changes to make my life easier as there are lots of pieces and doubling to have the back covered as well (which is not necessary for me). I doubled the hat and the gloves ONLY to add stability. I stitched the buttons, the hat band and scarf then glued into position using Aleene's tacky craft glue.

I watched the tutorial, and simplified it again to make it easier for myself. I only doubled the leaves as the back will not be on display. I stitched the can edge white, the read pieces red and glued them into position using Aleene's. I also used Aleene's to glue the leaves and red holly berries into position. I am avoiding hot glue!

Supplies:

Spellbinders Felt Candy Cane and Felt Snowman Star Etched Dies - Felt Stitch and Create Collection

Other: Felt, DMC floss, Aleene's Tacky Craft Glue

Thinking of You

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. I really enjoyed the results of my last card and thought that I would again mix the old product with the new and made another card. I think that if you a design that works, create with it and make more cards while the creative streak is going!

I kept the basic frame design the same, but changed the focal area of my card. I had ordered from Spellbinders, the Four Petal Thank You Floral set. I used some Kaisercraft cardstock, added a butterfly and sentiment to finish my card.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Neenah Solar Crest 110lb, Kaisercraft Bloom CD330, Forest CD114 and Carnation CD329
Dies: Spellbinders 5x7 heirloom legacy, Spellbinders heirloom reflections, Waffle Flower A7 layers die, Spellbinders Four Petal Sketched floral, Couture Creations Edith and Baby
Spellbinders embossing folder sketched floral
Other: Kaisercraft Pearls SB713

Merry Christmas Card

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing the last of some Christmas cards (for now). I recently made an order with Spellbinders and decided to use some of my new products, mixed in with my products from my stash. I came up with a design for this Christmas card PLUS another card which I will share later this week.

I wanted to use gold and white for a while in a card, I used foil paper to die cut the gold details and mats. I used an embossing folder to texture and also compliment the intricate die frame that I used. I used an older Spellbinders die to make the poinsettia to embellish my card.

I am really happy with how this card turned out and how I was able to mix some old products with the new.

Supplies

Cardstock: Neenah Solar Crest 110lb, Gold foil , watercolour paper (for poinsettia)
Dies: Spellbinders 5x7 heirloom legacy, Spellbinders heirloom reflections, Waffle Flower A7 layers die, Spellbinders layered poinsettia, Waffle Flower Merry Christmas print die, Spellbinders Bird Poinsettia Collection
Other: Kaisercraft Sparklets Dafodill, Ribbon white and gold

Postage Collage Christmas Cards

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a wonderful day. I am really excited to share some Christmas cards that I have made using the Waffle Flower Postage Collage stencils. I was inspired by the samples shared on their You Tube channel and I wanted to make some. I have been building up my collection of these stencils and I just love them.

To get to know how the stencils work, I created a card following the colours shared on the Waffle Flower blog.

Once I had a play, I found some Distress inks and had a play. I also added the Colouring stencil to have the postage stencil frame around the design. I found the by adding an extra 1/4 inch and trimming down, I had better luck with this stencil.

I really enjoyed creating these cards and appreciate being able to add to this collection.

Supplies:

Stencil: Waffle Flower Postage Collage Christmas
Waffle Flower Postage Collage Coloring Stencil

Stamp: Waffle Flower Postage Collage Stamp set, Uniquely Creative Christmas sentiments and dies

Dies: Waffle Flower Postage Collage Die

Ink: Distress Ink: Tumbled Glass, Festive Berries, Aged Mahogany, Gathered Twigs, Ground Espresso, Evergreen Bough, Peacock Feathers, Gold Pigment Ink, Versafine Onyx Black Ink, Mini blending tool

Other: Waffle Flower Grip mat and stencil mat, Taylored Expressions blending brushes

Elegant Birthday Card

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am digging into my supplies and using things in my stash that I have not used in a while or have not had the time to use. I have been a fan of Spellbinders dies for a very long time because I love the details you can achieve.

I used Kaisercraft papers and stamp set to create my sentiment. I also added flowers to create the elegance which I like to use. To complete my card I used some pearls.

It felt so good to use supplies from my stash. Please note, I am not sure if these products are still available but I will still list them in case you are interested.

Supplies:

Paper: Kaisercraft Lady Like 61/2" paperpad PP1080, Kaisercard Forest CD114, Snow CD301

Granny Square Bag

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a great day. I have been busy making lots of granny squares. I came across a tutorial by B.Hooked Crochet where you use a tote bag as a liner for your crochet. I loved this idea and thought I would do this.

I purchased a polyester tote bag from Kmart. My crochet squares didn't reach the top and sides of my bag. I joined my nine squares together using a SC then crocheted one row of clusters around the edge. Once the front and back were done in this way, I joined the sides and bottom with SC.

I attached 4 buttons where the straps are on the tote bag. I SC around the top part of the bag till I reached the buttons. It was approx 5 rows then I added a row to make 4 button holes, SC more rows and then the bag was complete.

Thanks to B.Hooked Crochet for this great idea!

Beanie and fingerless gloves

Hello everyone! It has been quite a while since I posted. School reports took over but now I have time to be creative. I have been enjoying knitting and crocheting again since its been cold. I'll be sharing the projects I have made, a lot using my Sentro knitting machines. I used a 46 needle Sentro to make the beanie and I used the braid stitch technique to add some fun detail. I used some left over wool to crochet these gloves...so happy with how they turned out.

I have more to share soon.

Thank You Card

Thinking of You

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing a card with you that uses some new product PLUS lots of product from my stash. I think that while we love to buy new things, it's important to look at what we have and reimagine how they can be used once again.

I was very impressed with the Waffle Flower Postage Collage release. I purchased the die and one set of stencils. I love the vintage style in my crafting and I thought that I would incorporate this into my card.

I knew in advance which patterned papers I would be using and selected distress inks to compliment. Then I fussy cut vintage elements such as the clock and  aged some butterflies using vintage photo distress ink. I also had some vintage background stamps that I used to add to the vintage feel.

I added some flowers and twine and my card is complete!

Supplies:

Dies: Waffle Flower Postage Collage Die, Die namics fishtail flags stax
Paper: Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics and Vintage Autumn Basics

Ink: Distress ink Victorian Velvet, Tattered Rose, Vintage Photo, Peeled Pain, Versafine vintage sepia

Stamps: Simon Says Stamp Handwritten Borders Stamp, Kaisercraft Butterflies CS854, Antiquities CS352, Texture Postmarks CS802

Other: Waffle Flowers Postage Collage Rose Stencil, Wild Orchid Crafts Blooms

Cross Stitch Pillows

Good morning everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing a project which is one of my my finishes, that I had been planning to do for a while and can check of my list as complete! I completed two of Lori Holt stitch card  Set I series. As you know, I love cottages and houses, so I had to stitch one.

To finish the back, I used some fabric from my stash and also some adhesive lace which I adhered using hot glue.

I used the DMC colours in the pattern and stitched it on 14 Count Rustico Aida.

I have more of her stitch cards and am not sure which I will stitch next. They are just beautiful!

Thanks for stopping by!
